The Android AirPods Pro alternative

from finder.com.au

If you're an Android user – and especially a Huawei Android user – then the Huawei Freebuds 3 are the closest you're going to come to the AirPods Pro experience without giving money to Apple. They're generally very good headphones, but the noise cancelling features are disappointingly inconsistent.

Huawei’s latest wireless earphones pair everything we loved about AirPods, such as their design and simplicity, with active noise cancellation, vastly better microphones, improved compatibility across Android, and a wireless charging case. As for who should buy Huawei’s FreeBuds 3, we’d recommend these wireless earphones to every AirPods fan out there rocking an Android smartphone.

Tit for tat

from PCWorld

The FreeBuds 3 are barely adequate in a category where it’s increasingly easy to find something exceptional. There's a good set of true wireless earbuds in there somewhere but, for the most part, the FreeBuds 3 sound like a let-down.

Paying for convenience

I titled this review “Paying for convenience” because you are, you are paying £170 for earbuds that sound, at best, like they cost £100, but in that extra cost you are getting buds that setup without hassle, that doesn’t go out of sync with each other, that doesn’t drop connection from...More

I titled this review “Paying for convenience” because you are, you are paying £170 for earbuds that sound, at best, like they cost £100, but in that extra cost you are getting buds that setup without hassle, that doesn’t go out of sync with each other, that doesn’t drop connection from your phone and have decent enough ANC to block out that bloke snoring next to you on the tube. Huawei took the Apple route of making a product as simple to the end-user as possible and are charging more for it, and I think that is great because people who buy this, especially if they own a Huawei phone, are in for a great time.

Innovative noise-cancelling buds for Android owners, but steer clear if you're on iOS

from Stuff

Snugger in-ears sound better when it comes to sound quality, isolation and noise-cancelling. Snugger in-ears sound better when it comes to sound quality, isolation and noise-cancelling. Due to their open fit, though, the FreeBuds are less intrusive while still delivering clear sound, very good microphones and a great fit that stayed put whether we were walking or working out. If you don’t fancy jamming squishy buds into your ears but still want a bit of help drowning out the drone of your morning commute, provided you have an Android phone, the FreeBud 3s are the only way to go.

A great and really useful alternative

from Coolsmartphone

These are great alternatives to Airpods and may be more suited to those who cannot get on with In-ear solutions that are offered by competitors, a thumbs up for me!

Decent vocal clarity, very fast charging

from TrustedReviews

Huawei phone owners may be keen to take advantage of the synergy the FreeBuds 3 offer. For everyone else, however, there’s no compelling reason to opt for the FreeBuds 3 over competing true wireless earbuds – much better-sounding efforts are available.

It makes sense to invest in FreeBuds 3 if you’re a Huawei user who wants quick pairing with your phone. They’re a good addition to the Huawei brand and a comfortable companion to your Android device. If you’re considering the FreeBuds as an alternative to the AirPods Pro, however, you’re perhaps looking in the wrong place. The ANC isn’t as powerful as an earbud that comes with a silicone tip and there are brands out there that offer better sound quality for similar prices.

The Huawei FreeBuds 3 are AirPods for Android. A few niggles with noise cancellation controls aside, these are the best open-ear wireless headphones you can get. Although we can’t completely forgive Huawei for copying the innovative headphone design introduced by Apple back in 2016, the firm has done a great job of giving Android fans a pair of wireless buds they can use without feeling like they’re missing out on features. While most other AirPods copycats should be immediately disregarded, the Huawei FreeBuds 3 certainly deserve your attention.

Sounds great, comfortable to use

from GSMArena

The Huawei FreeBuds 3 have convenience and comfort on their side. They're the ideal earbuds for audiobooks or music on the go and have the added benefit of some noise-cancellation. They're an even better proposition for Huawei owners thanks to perks like the automatic pause and play when you remove the earbuds.
