My biggest problem with the SoundTrue isn't the sound performance, it's the price, which places it within a bracket of competition it simply can't hold its own against.
However, if style is your biggest concern, there's a lot to enjoy here. You'll also be buying into a set of headphones that's ultra-light and knows a thing or two about pumping out some sufficient sound.

Read full reviewThe Bose SoundTrue On-Ears are a nice, relatively affordable pair of headphones that come in a decent set of colors which add a bit more personality to the Bose headphone lineup.

At $180, the Bose SoundTrue On-Ear headphones are a bit pricey, but there are two major factors that make them an easy recommendation: how comfortable they are to wear, and how great the sound quality is for that price-tag. If you’re just looking for great sounding headphones that you can wear literally all day, you’ll have a hard time finding something better than these headphones.
Bose gets knocked by audio purists quite a bit, but the SoundTrue is a strong offering in this price range. Unlike most of Bose's premium products, there's no added special feature like noise cancellation. These are headphones, plain and simple. And if you like crisp highs, rich lows, and an exceedingly comfortable fit, they won't disappoint....

It's impressive for a low-cost pair. If you're looking for solid-performing, distortion-free, lightweight, travel-friendly headphones in this price range, the SoundTrue is certainly worth your attention.

In the end, the Bose SoundTrue headphones is a nice and relatively affordable addition to the traditional Bose black and silver headphones. The new colors add a bit of personality to Bose’s lineup, but are still conservative enough to not alienate Bose purists. They are also super lightweight and very comfortable to wear. The overall sound is clean and crisp too, and we really appreciate how authentic everything sounds.
Read full reviewTo paraphrase an old whiskey ad, the Bose SoundTrue Around-ear headphones sound expensive, and they are. These retail for $179.95, and for a pair of headphones that lacks Bluetooth connectivity and most other bells and whistles, this may be enough to put some people off. That said, if you lay down the cash for these, chances are slim that you’ll be disappointed....

There are two major factors that make the Bose SoundTrue headphones an easy recommendation: the sound quality and how comfortable they are. If you’re a basshead who needs massively hyped low end or a professional who needs super-accurate sound, there are other pairs of headphones that are better suited to your needs, but if you’re just looking for great sounding headphones that you can wear literally all day, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better pair of headphones at this price point.
