While the Earset helped put B&O’s design ingenuity together with sound expertise when everyone was still stumbling about trying to make earbuds work, years later, we’re not sure it’s an approach that has as much validity, at least in the current form.
Despite an odd fit and a lack of soundstage, the BeoPlay Earset delivers solid sound quality for a fair price of $299. While this niche offering won’t be razzing everyone’s berries, it’s still a pretty sweet deal.
The B&O Play Earset wireless earphones sound great with over-ear hooks holding them up nicely in your ears. That's much needed as the plugs are rather large and sometimes uncomfortable in your ears.
I can’t think of a single reason why you might buy the Beoplay Earset. There are better earbuds and headphones in nearly every category that offer better audio quality, a more comfortable form factor, and for less money.
If the Earset fits… get them! I can only tell the loud music junkies, isolation introverts and hip-hop fans to stay away. Everyone else, get these because you will not be disappointed at all. Do try before you buy, because the fit may not suit everyone.
No questions for the moment.
