Sound Guys

Still a good pair of ‘buds

from Sound Guys

If you’re in need of something stylish, timeless, and reliable, the BeatsX are the wireless earbuds for you. Just keep them away from water; after all, they lack an official IP rating.

Mission accomplished for Beats. More affordable than AirPods, the BeatsX are good headphones to use and comfortable to wear. The manufacturer has managed to correct its sound reproduction that was too rich in bass to provide a consistent experience for all types of users. Certainly, one could have expected a little more functionality and in particular complete waterproofing, but some compromises must be made to get the price below $100.

What Hi-Fi

Plenty of bass, but you can get better wireless sound for the price

Wireless performance is great, and they’re an easy fit. Their sound is energetic and full, but it doesn’t have the finesse or detail of the best in this category. Detail is limited, and shouty upper mids make them occasionally a little hard on the ear with no real compensation elsewhere.

Meet some good-sounding earbuds that can charge in five minutes

from TechRadar

The BeatsX are a solid pair of in-ear headphones. They might not have the highest clarity of any earbuds we’ve ever met, but that’s something they make up for with supreme comfort, smart iOS integration and a surprisingly effective Quick Charge feature.

The BeatsX is a solid set of Bluetooth headphones, offering compact size, good sound, easy pairing, and a comfortable fit. It just costs way too much.

A good value in terms of their audio performance

from TechGearLab

The Beats by Dr. Dre BeatsX aren't great for sports, but they deliver incredibly crisp audio for general use. If you want to hear all the nuances of a Robert Krulwich monologue, these are the earbuds for you.

Tools & Toys

A product you can set and forget

from Tools & Toys

There are some products you’ll want to turn over in your hands over and over again because of their look and feel. The BeatsX does not fall into that category. But, I think this is actually a sign of a job well done. What I wanted from this pair of earphones was a small, ultra convenient wireless solution for music.

Sound is good enough

Less tech than the AirPods, but still probably Apple’s best earphones to for everyday use, if you don’t mind a bit of bass.

The cheapest alternative to noise cancelling wireless earbuds

The Beats X aren't a perfect pair of wireless headphones — but at $149, there's nothing else in its pricing category that can compare. They have Apple's new W1 chipset and all the ease-of-use that come with it. They fit well, have decent (if not spectacular) sound quality, isolate most outs...More

The Beats X aren't a perfect pair of wireless headphones — but at $149, there's nothing else in its pricing category that can compare. They have Apple's new W1 chipset and all the ease-of-use that come with it. They fit well, have decent (if not spectacular) sound quality, isolate most outside noise, and keep rocking long past their supposed battery life limit.
