We admire the Powerbeats Pro headphones for their build, their fit and their superb features. Thanks to the Apple H1 Bluetooth chip technology, they’re wonderfully easy to set up and use, and they’re virtually glitch-free in their delivery of wireless audio. But their musical performance brings them down. While not chronically bassy and replete with detail, they just don’t have the liveliness to keep us interested even in tracks we know and love.
Read full reviewIf you're an iPhone user, AirPods can be attractive, but the PowerBeats Pro are the better companion for your smartphone. Sweat resistance, actual noise isolation, and a secure fit in your ears make these the true wireless earphones you want in Apple-land. Android users may find other options they like better, as these only support AAC.

PowerBeats Pro maybe the alternative that AirPod lovers need even if that includes about a $50 increase. It houses the H1 chip which can provide the same connectivity, stability, and giving off a better sound while having a massive 20+ hour battery life. Its gigantic case is an eyesore and defeats some of the convenient portability true wireless earbuds tend to present. Its hard to believe its for battery life when there are smaller cases giving you roughly around the same.
If you've always wanted a pair of truly wireless headphones, but the AirPods weren't right for you, the Powerbeats Pro are your salvation. They come in ivory, moss, navy, and black.

They’re not perfect but they’re the closest headphones to being so that I’ve found. They’re comfortable, are great fitting & secure whilst working out, as well as very importantly sound incredible. Add all those together and you’ve got yourself a very compelling case for the ideal pair of everyday-wear pair of headphones.

They sound good, last a long time between charges, have rock-solid connectivity and an excellent set of controls. They also have the same Apple magic that makes the AirPods extremely convenient to use with an iPhone or any other Apple device, which is a massive advantage other brands simply don’t have. But the case is enormous, the fit won’t suit everyone, they don’t isolate that well, and forget wearing them with glasses.

The Powerbeats Pro are the most exciting truly wireless headphones to launch since AirPods, and deliver on pretty much every promise they make in terms of expansive battery life, well-rounded, punchy sound and intuitive use. However, it’s worth bearing in mind the case is a chore to carry around, the physical controls are nothing to write home about and at £219.95, they’re among the most expensive truly wireless headphones on the market.
