Its good

If you're having trouble with memory you can root your android device and manipulate the android operating system to allow you

full access to your external storage my preferred method for rooting is an app named king root

you can use apps  to manipulate system files like kitkat sd fix

you'll most likely have to run king root many times to root the device and WARNING YOU  CAN  BREAK YOUR DEVICES ROOTING THEM I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU BREAK YOUR DEVICES

but its unlikely to break But if you do you can look into flashing your device to fix it

never get king root from anywhere else but the

official website or you risk getting virus and other junk if you do kitkat sd fix can be found in the google play store and and king root can be found here https://kingroot.net/

Yeah, but I have one and rooted it. It uses a dual sd system, meaning that the internal storage is not emulated but acts as a sd card. Every app will say that the phone has an sd card that the app is already installed on, but, that is, in fact, the internal storage. Unfortunately, you can't just root it and bam, more storage.

ZE Zephyr DOES use a SD Card

I know this is an old thread, but since it popped up first or second on a Google Search, I thought I'd better respond. I was installing a 32 GB SD Card in a friends new Zephyr and had the same initial react as most reviewers. WTF, the system uses most of my internal memory and you cannot mount an SD Card. Turns out KitKat 4.4 uses "shared memory" for internal and external memory. There is no way to mount the SD Card as far as I could figure out. The solution, ugly, is to insert your sd card , and do a hard "Factory Reset".  After that completes, her total memory went from 1 Gig internal to 33 Gig. The systems apps in internal dropped from like 890 Mb to about 300 some Mb. Took a photo with the camera, the photos went to the SD Card. This was a while ago, so I can't remember how I checked the memory. But when I installed a few apps, if they are able to be transferred to a SD Card, you could see that most of the memory usage went to the sd card, and only a little to the system memory.  BUT BE CAREFUL  if you have data on the SD Card and do a factory reset like I described to recognize the card, you may also loose all your data. I gave it 8 stars, because for the price, like $39 bucks for a Net10 Zephyr (actualy $79 but includes 1 $40 monthly activation card), it's a great deal and seems pretty capable... Less

i don't love it

This phone has like no Internal storage. I wasted money on a 32 GB SD card thinking that would help, but you can't move apps to it. As a person that likes to have a lot of apps on the phone this was a terrible choice because you can only have like 2 at a time.

Not the best.

The only reason that I am giving this a 2 star is because this is, unfortunately, my first touch screen phone and I enjoy using the apps... At least the few that I am able to even download. As Brenda has mentioned in her review, the ZTE Zephyr series does not support the transferring of apps to the SD Card. I wish I had found this out before I even bought the phone. I wouldn't have wasted my money, my time, or the Walmart cashier's time on this phone if given the knowledge I know now. If I wanted a device that I can't use a SD Card on, I would have bought myself an iPod Touch. Now, not only did I waste, oh I'd say, about $70 on this "phone", but now I have a 32 gigabyte SD Card that I can't even use. Until I get a better phone, of course. Which is also unfortunate because I barely got this phone a few days ago. I must say that Android developers NEED to ALLOW transferring of apps to the SD Card AND the ability to set the SD Card as your default storage. Will never buy another Android again without doing excessive research about compatibility with SD Cards first. Other than the SD Card issue, there isn't a clipboard that I can use to copy multiple things on. For example, if I copy the letter "A", I can paste that letter anywhere. Now after copying "A", and then copying "B", I can only paste "B". If I want to paste "A" again, I must copy it again. Very frustrating. I hope whoever is reading this section of my review understands what I mean. This concludes my rant on this poor excuse for a phone. P.S. Please excuse any errors in grammar. Unable to transfer files to sd card. my sd card is fine and able to be used on my samsung android with no problems and the Zephyr can read my sd card just will not allow me to transfer anything to it from the app settings. the card is also able to read by my computer while in the Zephyr but yet tech support still tries to tell me it is my sd card. I even saved files i wanted to keep from my sd card and wiped it (formatted it with the phone and it still will not transfer files. Tech support even tried telling me the card must be full, however they went back to telling me the card was faulty when i told them it still has almost 15 gigs of space on it. The internal ram on this phone is limited and most is used up with linux, windows and mac folders pre-installed on the phone leaving little room for anything else to be downloaded. the only thing you are really able to transfer to the sd card are photos from the file manager. this phone is useless to me since i am unable to download applications needed to be used for work. And there is no way to download directly to the sd card. I asked the tech agent if he could tell me how and either he did not know or is there is no way to do it because he would not get off the kick of my sd card must faulty. This phone is a piece of trash. Less
