If you are someone who bought the Redmi Note 7, you might be feeling angry given that Xiaomi has upgraded the camera in such a short time and with a price increase of just Rs 1000. Don’t buy it just for that 48MP number at the back. Buy if you are in due for an upgrade, and don’t want to pay extra f...

The Redmi Note 7S poses a unique proposition for the Indian consumer as they will get a 48MP smartphone that’s just north of the Rs 10K mark. The fact that you don’t have to wait for the flash sale is something that could really work in its favor. The 48-megapixel photos are a little disappointing, but otherwise, the phone offers a good value for money proposition.

The Huffington Post

Xiaomi’s latest budget-friendly smartphone is a great pick—but the timing of its launch, and the similarities to its previous iteration, has made early adopters who support the brand unhappy.

The Redmi Note 7S poses a unique proposition for the Indian consumer as they will get a 48MP smartphone that’s just north of the Rs 10K mark. Xiaomi has played their cards right and launched it at a time when this segment was getting unnecessarily saturated with handsets that had no discerning factor from the next. With the 48MP Redmi Note 7S, Xiaomi hasn’t just disrupted the Rs 10K price range; but also laid down the challenge for any opposing brand to top them.

Xiaomi’s hardware is known to offer excellent value so it comes as no surprise that the Redmi Note 7S is priced rather well in India. It is quite interesting to see Xiaomi flood the market with iterative variants. There’s no doubt that the Redmi Note 7S offers a lot of bang for the buck but it also makes the Redmi Note 7 redundant. For a mere 1000 rupees (~$15) more than the Redmi Note 7, the 7S offers a significantly superior camera.
