Clean, slim, and comfortable to hold, acceptable performance, OK cameras as long as you don't expect miracles, good battery life. Nothing too crazy, just crossing the checkboxes.

While we like the form factor and design of the Xperia 10 unfortunately it just doesn’t run well. Sure, it’s mid-range, but there are phones that cost less that perform a lot better.

Pocket-lint

For £299, the Xperia 10 gives you a lot of phone. Sure, it misses out on a few things such as waterproofing, a more premium finish and a faster processor, but it also delivers a 6-inch screen with the new 21:9 aspect ratio screen.

The awkward appearance aside, these phones have appealing displays, strong chassis, and table-stakes features like headphone jacks and fingerprint readers. Battery life just makes the mark. The Android 9 Pie software runs well on these phones, despite the below-average benchmark scores, and Sony’s customizations actually do assist with usability. The camera app is powerful and the 10 and 10 Plus manage to take above-average photos for the price.

Sony’s 21:9 phones make a compelling case for using a taller phone

from Digital Trends

Screens are getting narrower and narrower to suit the vertical content we’re so used to on our smartphones but moving to 21:9 also makes sense from a media-consumption perspective, as most movies are filmed with the same 21:9 aspect ratio. That makes Sony’s latest smartphones compelling devices if you’re a Netflix addict.
