Sony Ericsson W910 is the top dog in the Walkman series when it comes to feature phones, the smarty W960 being a class of its own in the company's music portfolio. Some of W910 features are true high-end stuff: the quality display, elaborate music features, exquisite design, fast performance and 3G capabilities. Those however coexist with painfully familiar features and applications we've been getting in downright midrange handsets. Too much compromise to put up with in this price range and the tag on W910 is likely to get even the brand loyals a bit reserved. Nokia and Samsung seem to prepare a handful of cool music offerings in this price range too, while their non-music oriented handsets too have good music players. Despite the rich sales package, including a 1GB M2 card and the cool M2 USB reader, the W910 will be under pressure, as price is the ultimate decisive factor in this increasingly competitive market.

The new media screen is attractive, intuitive, and responsive. The inclusion of a generous assortment of applications is welcomed. The Bluetooth remote controller for presentations, the TrackID function, and the motion sensing games are all good examples.

In terms of music, however, the lack of a 3.5mm earphone jack and the average sound quality has made the device lose some of its luster. As such, I can only give it a "Recommended" rating.

Pro: Amazing battery life...well you would expect that from sony ericsson Con: well you do miss the alerts for messages sometimes when you put it on silent this phone is not exactly what you should go for in my opinion it has got a couple of good features but the main problem is that the phones fails to vibrate at times when you receive a message also the other problem is: when you make a call, in the middle of typin a text or browsing the intetnet the phones just get stuck and resets. Oh yeah and the biggest problem of it is the signal strength its very poor you do not get a good reception and the phoes just refreshes itself this happens even in the middle of a call. Well i was going to sell it three months after buying it but i lost it on the bus so oh well anyway i would reccomend this phone to anyone. Less

Pro: Multimedia, Motion Sensor, Camera (quite good for a walkman phone),Style, Sound Quality (both in Loudspeaker and Headphones) Con: Looks fragile, firmware version is a little buggy (randomly restarts or frozes),keypad(not good for texting) This phone is near to perfect w/ its excellent multimedia capabilities and very slick design w/ the touch of its motion sensor technology.. The only major downside is its firmware version. SE should have tested it more before releasing it to the public but this problem can be solved by updating the firmware version of the phone (sadly, its still not available). All-in-all its a a very good phone for music junkies like me :D Less

Pro: Nice design, HSDPA, not Nokia Con: Unstable software In the 6 months I use this phone, I've started to like it and hate it at the same time. The phone has great features, HSDPA, which enables me to work with my laptop from anywhere I would like to work. The design is great, sliding phones alsways have an advantage to me. And the menus are just clear and easy to understand. In this six months I've only been able to use it for 3 months now. It's been returned to SonyEricsson for repair London repair office, which in turn had the phone sent back to the factory in Sweden at one point. Reason: total software failure. Firmware and all running programs were not responding at all, in two occasions now. The first time they replaced the whole innerworks of the phone (changing the IMEI number), and the second time hey had managed to upload the firmware to the phone. I might try a lot with the phone, but I really don't know how to get a phone to crash on the firmware level. If a phone can crash at that level, something's wrong with it. I'm glad I only had a single year contract with this phone, and I can get a new one in 3 months time now. But, great phone, except for the software....... Less

Pro: Great battery life, easy to get around, excellent camera, cool radio-music, and bunch of other features Con: none really My husband bought me this phone for my birthday, and I must say I have been more than happy. I am really not that much into cell phones, and have previously owned Motorolla, Samsung... It was one of those convinient things to have. However ever since I got this phone, I have actually been really excited about owning the cell phone. It is lite, I carry it everyway I go, and listen to radio-music while walking my baby, take a tone of pictures (the quality is amazing, it kind of compares to my Cannon camera)... The design is slick.. I would highly recommend this phone!!! Less

This phone looked super cool which is one of the reasons i chose it, i also like the ease of the slide function, the camera was pretty good as was the mp3 music function, my only niggle with it is the strange buttons like the arrow to go back i am used to the ease of the nokia or samsung with the back buttons they are pretty straight forward, this was the reason i chose to sell it and get a nokia music express phone which is far more easier for me, all in all if you like sony ericssons and are used to the control buttons then this is the phone for you it looks great and does a lot especially for music.
