Great Phone

I work for a phone company (landline) I have dropped my Sanyo from bucket trucks, ladders, 20, 30 even 40 feet to the ground, went picked it up it still works, no camera, no videos, no music, its a phone its hated by kids and teens there is no features and "cool" tricks it does, but its a phone, mak... The 10-4 is perhaps best in the market (walkie talkie) guys in our company have other versions of 10-4 phones like the 2400 and so forth and they are always trying to find more of the 7300s to replace them with. Great phone! Even through rain and snow storms this phone is still working great. Less

Bell Mobility's 7300

I purchased two of these phones in March 2005. Within a month and a half, one of these phones would not turn on. I took it in to my Bell Mobility outlet and they told me just by holding it in their hand that it had water damage. They suggested that because I took it outside in the cold, then back in the house where it was warm, it must have got condensation in it which voided the warranty. They actually suggested that I try putting it in a "baggie" to protect it. Less

Durable piece of garbage

This phone is durable but lousy. I've had had 3 different 7300's. Each with a different problem, first, menu key didn't work. Next, the battery would not charge, 3rd, continuous dropped calls. Poor sound quality. Thankfully the insurance co. does not have another one, they're giving me the 8300 ins... More

Great phone

Mediocre at best

The phone is just plain and boring. It looks plain and boring, it's feeatures are plain and boring. I want my nokia phones back. I would trade them all in for this garbage. Well, at least you can make calls. However, what's the point of having a flip phone if there's no camera???!!!?

It's a phone that actually works

Why do you buy a phone? To talk to people. No other reason. The main "feature" of the phone is that it is a rugged model -- it is very durable. It also has a speaker phone. You get clear calls, good signals, and that is all I ask for from a phone. If you want a camera phone/MP3 player/toaster phone, stay away. If you want a great phone that doesn't get scratched up, doesn't need a case, and won't break the first time you drop it, this is the phone for you. Less

Review about actual phone

from Amazon
Compared to other phones on the market and the price, this phone doesn't offer much in the "extra feature" department. Compared to other phones on the market and the price, this phone doesn't offer much in the "extra feature" department. No camera, no MP3 player, etc. The only reason I bought it is it was black, looked sporty, had a color display, and the key pad was well designed/illuminated. If that is what you're looking for, wait, there's more...unfortunately after one year, my LCD screen will NOT turn off and stays illuminated 24/7. As a result, not only does my battery die FAST, but my sub LCD screen (the small one on the outter shell) doesn't turn on. And I can not view time/date/caller id without openning the phone. And of course fixing this costs more than the phone itself. That was on my phone's 1 year anniversary. Another 2 months later, the charger hardware is screwy too! When I plug in the charger, it goes in and out of charging. It's not the charger either, as my husband uses the same charger for his phone (different model) without problems. I however need to charge my phone 2X a day! Ridiculous! I paid $250 for this phone with only a year of problem free use...that just doesn't seem fair to consumers. The response I get is you should've bought insurance!!!! How about you should manufacture better products! Shouldn't these higher ticket items (especially laptops) offer longer warranty periods? Very disappointed

The only reason why I upgraded to this phone is it''s 10-4 capabilities. I''ve been a former user of Samsung & Nokia. The user interface on this Sanyo is horrible compared to Samsung & Nokia''s. The only reason why I upgraded to this phone is it''s 10-4 capabilities. I''ve been a former user of Samsung & Nokia. The user interface on this Sanyo is horrible compared to Samsung & Nokia''s. I see no point in having a colour screen on it when all the prompt & alert boxes are greyscale! This reminds me of the DOS operating system. The only thing I really like about this phone is the speaker phone capability. There are too many numerous things I dislike about this phone compared to others that I''ve owned. - Text message does not stay up on display, it will go back to the main screen after 30 secs or less. - Cannot re-send a text message! - Takes forever to turn off. - No call timer history! - Limited/No menu # hotkeys. - Too many button push sequences to enter a text message - can''t set default message entry type - T9 or text. - Limited speed dial selections. Sanyo did not think this interface through properly. I guess this is what happens when you are new to the market. Less

As a phone its great...as a phone.

If you focus on the 7300 as a phone its one of the best. I''m tired of people judging this phone poorly based on its lack of features. I... More

I''m tired of people judging this phone poorly based on its lack of features. If you really need to use the calander or any other secondary features you''re better off spending the extra money on a treo or blackberry. If you want to listen to mp3s buy an i-pod. If you''d like to take pictures buy a digi-cam. All in all its a great phone for someone always on the go. Less
