this phone is the absolute worst! I had an old Sanyo phone that worked perfectly and this is why I chose to get a second one. The Sanyo Katana lx is quite a disappointment, I had it for one week when it started to black out and cut off my calls, I sent it away for servicing and it was fixed, but it has recently started to black out again! also, the outer screen sometimes stops working for no apparent reason, the phone has terrible reception, and freezes while texting. Another problem with the texting is that quite often the phone will beep to tell me I have received a message, but when I go to my inbox to check it, the message is not there; this is very annoying, especially if I am texting more than one person at once. I also know several others who have this phone and the majority of them have at least some of these problems with their phone as well. Beware, do NOT purchase this phone! You will regret it, but then again, I don't even know if they still make it, I know that Bell has stopped carrying it! Less

Upgraded to this phone last December, loved the look of it and length of battery charge was wonderful. However in September I went to charge my phone and when I connected the charger; nothing, took it into my service provider and they sent it in for service. Well I got it back today, Sanyo maintains that it was intentional damage although it was all internal motherboard problems, even my service provider said the outside of the phone was in such good shape they couldn't see how it could have internal damage. Now I am back to a trusty SAMSUNG! Less

poor

the phones outer screen scratches far too often, then outside screen desides to quit working when it feels like it, calls often skip straight through to voicemail without ringing or vibrating, the sound of the phone is very metallic when speaking with others. and finally my charger decided it just doesnt want to work anymore.

Disappointed

I was very disappointed that the battery only stayed charged for two days. I find myself having to charge the phone every other day, I brought the phone back and was told that many phones today have this problem because of the small battery size.

Lemon

Front screen stopped working after a couple of weeks.
