Make no mistake about it, at $39.99 after rebate and a contract agreement with T-Mobile, this is a bargain phone. For that price, the Blast brings a lot of value and also looks great. For the avid text messenger willing to push through the 20 key keypad's learning curve, the Blast should pay dividends in helping you pump out messages more quickly than ever. The Blast brings a full feature set as long as you're comfortable doing it Samsung's way.

With this in mind, I give this phone a well-deserved "Recommended" rating.

I didn't buy mine on amazon, got it in store. But this phone was by far the best phone I've ever owned. It's small and easily fits in my hands and pockets. It has great sound quality for both music and speaker phone. The keybored layout is crazy cool, just takes some time to get used to it. I had mine for a little over a year and it's gone through pretty much anything a phone can go through. Everything from being dropped on cement to falling in the sink with the water on, even managed to get sand in it from the beach and it still held strong. Never once had a problem with this phone, at least until I leaned against a counter too hard and the screen spiderd...that day sucked lol..I miss my phone and would gladly buy another one hands down. Now I have the Gravity, which is still cool..but I miss this one. Less

Great Phone!

from Amazon
I like this phone because of the features and its simple-ness. I'm not big on the colors but its a good phone and dependable. Nothing broke when I had it, nothing went wrong and most importantly it had a lot of options that I liked. Good phone for teenagers because even if you drop it a couple of time, it doesn't scratch! haha!

I bought this phone 9 months ago and overall, it's been alright. Pros: Thin design. Light weight. Large colorful screen. Good variation on volume. Nice backlit keys. QWERTY keyboard. Cons: Some of the features take some searching to find and time to get used to. The left arrow and cancel button have already given out. Also, someone asked to borrow my phone, dropped it about a foot onto a file cabinet so there is a lovely black strip across the screen diagonally. Obviously not the most durable screen. The camera is pretty bad. It kills me how few texts there can be in the phone inbox. QWERTY keyboard can be seen as a con as well, I suppose as it is incredibly flat so distinguishing between buttons is difficult. As much as I enjoy the features of mp3 ringtones, a micro SD card slot, quick charge time, fairly long battery life, and a cute design, I think I'm just going to replace it with a reliable, cheap, and simple Nokia bar (aka brick) phone rather than pay the $40 to get T-Mobile to put the insurance I've been paying for to good use on a phone that broke relatively quick. The sliding motion is not solid, as well as having a hollow space when you slide it, which I know is gonna help it break someday. Def not a texting phone. Not only do you have to get used to the weird keyboard, but the buttons are really small, so unless you're a 12 yr old girl with tiny fingers texting will be difficult. Memory sucks-every 35 messages I have to go back and erase them. Also, it can not handle being charged and used at the same time. It becomes very hot, which I can only assume fries up the inside. All in all it's a crapy phone. Not worth the money. Only good features is e-mail Less

I love that you can get email without being logged into a browser, that is a major plus. I'm sure I'll get used to it. But I was so good with typing with the number pad. And I'm a big fan of T-mobile even though there have been some issues so far. I'm loving the myFaves plan. Rock on. Yes, it's nice for texting. If you need to call a number such as 1-800-Attorney; you'll need to figure out where what numbers the letters represent on a normal telephone keypad. * The battery life on this phone has been the shortest vs any other phone I've had. * I dislike the pink scroll bar is horrid. Unfortunately this option can't be changed. Less

It was a big step up from my T209, but I can tell you right now so far the battery life sucks. It said that this phone is for texters. Pfff...If you're a heavy texter, don't get this phone, cause you'll lose charge real fast. It also claims it can stay idle for 8 days !!!?!....yeah right. You'd be lucky if this phone stays idle for 3 days !! My old Samsung could spend 2 weeks before the battery died. I'm not the type of person who talks or plays around on my phone, so I was really pissed when I realized it lost charge fast, when I hardly used it. *Overall, the phone is nice and sleek. The camera takes nice/clear pictures, and the Qwerty pad is cool. But the quick loss of battery power takes the fun out of enjoying the phone.* Less
