Capable, attractive handset that sports a truly beautiful touchscreen display
Overall I am very pleased with the Samsung SGH-a877 Impression for AT&T. There are a few small niggles, like the space bar and the lock button, and I still find the TouchWiz widget tray to very much be a work in progress, but the phone is fun to use in general. An autofocus lens on the camera and a real 3.5mm headphone port on the body would have gone a long way towards making this a real multimedia workhorse, though.
It's a capable, attractive handset that sports a truly beautiful touchscreen display. That alone is cause enough to award it a "Recommended" rating.

The Impression is another hit-and-miss device from Samsung. It excels at a number of features, such as the QWERTY keyboard, capable browser and decent camera. Other features, such as the music player, don't fare as well. The hardware is mostly good, with a few foibles that got more annoying with continued use (i.e., the lock/unlock button).
