The Samsung A746 is a good-looking two-toned flip with a brushed metal finish and defined, contoured edges. The external, monochrome screen displays the time, battery and signal strength.

Inside you’ll find a 2.2 inch, 176 x 220 pixel resolution screen and a familiar alphanumeric keypad.

Additional features include voice memo, calendar, scheduler, to-do list, stopwatch and countdown timer. Talk time is rated at three hours and standby time is rated at up to 280 hours.

With the Samsung A746 your can text, MMS, email, instant message and take pictures and video.

While there isn’t anything in particular that makes the A746 stand out in a crowded field, it is nonetheless a well-built device that should appeal to folks looking for a basic phone.

Darn, there are no reviews yet for this phone.

Good phone for a month or two!!!

I am having the same problem now as others have with this phone!! I sent it back twice and now the warranty is gone I have a year and a half left on my contract. The mic must be faulty in a lot of these phones. Samsung will never be a brand I will reccomend for phones anyways!!!

Phone is a slick looking flip with everything you need for a phone except. After 6 months mic failed and I could not talk out. Phone was repaired with a new mic installed and returned withinn 2 weeks. Phone failed again withinn 2 months. Second mic was installed and returned. Phone failed again on 1 month. Phone failed again in 2 months with same repair. When I contacted Samsung after 4th repair I was told that the phone was now off warranty and they would do nothing to help me. Since then the phone has been in for the same repair and has had the mic replaced again with the repair depot warranting the repair. The phone is not reliable and Samsung's customer service and warranty complience is pithetic. Rob Less

I've always been a fan of Samsung phones, until now! I've had this phone for about 10 months. I had to have the keyboard replaced in the first 90 days. I now have to have the keyboard replaced one more time. This time, Rogers won't do anything about it. So I'm stuck with a phone that doesn't work and about 2 years left on a plan. I'm NOT at all happy with this phone. I DO NOT recommend this phone. If anything, I strongly recommend staying away from it. The first time this problem manifested itself, I could not make or recieve calls. No one could hear me talk. Now, I'm able to receive calls most of the time, and I'm unable to make calls. No one can hear me talk when I make calls. Considering the cost of this phone, this is simply unacceptable. Less

Used to like it, now I want to smash it with a hammer

I got this phone 4 months ago. For the first month or two, I was very happy. I got this phone 4 months ago. For the first month or two, I was very happy. The call quality was fine, the features were decent as I got a vision plan and enjoyed reading news sites/ checking email on the go. I was annoyed with the mp3 player as I hated the headphones it came with. I ended up using another mp3 player. The camera was also rather crappy, but I got the phone for 1. Calls 2. Texting 3. Internet is nice. After about 2 months I started to have serious issues with the microphone. I was using calling cards to call the states so I didn't realize the problem was with my phone at first. The person on the other end cannot hear me at all, saying I sound like I am in a wind tunnel and the static is extremely loud and obnoxious. At first this happened with maybe 1/25 calls. Now I cannot use this phone as it happens more often than not. I read that a lot of other people are having this problem and that it is a software issue. Some people have luck by taking out the battery while the phone is on, waiting 60 seconds before replacing it and powering on again. This is only a temporary fix for me. It only works for about a day at best. I will be trying to get this fixed or replaced but I heard a lot of people saying the problem comes back. This experience has completely turned me off from samsung. I'll never buy from this brand again. Less

Great little phone. Very classy looking, small yet easy to use number pad, more features than expected. Reception is great and connects to bluetooth very well. The vision products fom rogers work great on this phone although viewing screen is a bit small but expected for a small phone. IF ONLY I could receive pop email as this phone is only programmed to receive mobile mail from rogers and cannot add accounts (sucks). You must get email on the web which is more data intensive $$. If anyone figures out how to add a pop email account on this phone please include the steps in your review. Less
