Samsung has released three new phones in their line, the Samsung Galaxy Ultra, S22, and the S22+. While the Ultra has a range of differences, the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ are quite similar phones. Here are the most important differences and similarities to consider!
What’s the Same
- Full HD screen
- 8GB of RAM
- 128/256GB of storage
- Triple rear 50MP camera
What’s Different
- 6.6-inch screen
- Bigger Battery
- 45W fast charging
The Samsung Galaxy S22+ has the same general design and specs as the Samsung Galaxy S22. The only fundamental differences come from screen size and battery.
The rest of the details and specs mirror the Galaxy S22.
However, that’s not to say there aren’t plenty of reasons to consider the Samsung Galaxy S22+. The minor differences can make all the difference depending on how you use your phone.
The S22+’s 45W fast charging speeds mean you’ll enjoy faster top-ups if you’re a heavy phone user or frequently use your phone on the go, and the screen is also much bigger if you prefer to play games, video conference, or stream media to your phone.
Pocket-Lint says, “The Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ share the same design and the same specifications, except for physical size, battery capacity and fast charging capabilities.”
Android Police states, “The S22 Ultra is expensive, and unless you have a specific need for the S Pen or the big display, the S22+ will serve you just fine.”
Performance, materials, and other considerations remain essentially the same. So for more on what to expect, be sure to consult our Samsung Galaxy S22 review.

- Mike Lowe, T3Samsung's Galaxy S22 Plus is sandwiched between the smaller S22 and bigger S22 Ultra models – it delivers the best battery life of the lot, and is a more sensible flat-screen option compared to the Ultra, which will make it the best pick of the series for some. However, at this price, there's the ob...

- Camila Rinaldi, NextPitWith a sleek, well-built design, state-of-the-art hardware (even if it performs poorly on benchmarks), and an upgrade policy that extends the device's usage time, the Galaxy S22+ is a good smartphone.
