SOLUTION: I had this issue ever since I got my phone! my phone is Samsung J 5 2015 model. This is what worked for me1) Settings2) Notifications (this says select which apps you want to receive notifications from)3) WhatsApp was disabled for me, so I enabled it.Hope this works for you too!

Yes.. I got the solution of this problem. Thank U very much to all of u.. Dame solution.. Go to the setting>data usage>click on whats app or any application>press on restrict background data. If it is enable, so desable this. Then u'll get the notification properly.

Here's three solution for these problem.(1) phone setting - data usage- whatsapp- disable restict background data.(2)phone setting- battery- disable whatsapp battery optimise or all app battery optimise.(3)whatsapp- setting- data usage - network usage - reset statistics n reset it.If it helps pls reply.THANK YOU.

I was experiencing the same problem And i found out that the data restriction was enabled for the app so i disabled it but it automatocally enables when i close the settings window P.s i have cleared the default settings for the same and battery optimisation is disabled too

Just switch off the ultra data saving mode. When that mode is on the apps get restricted so you're getting notifications only when you're opening the app. Switch the mode off and it might work. I did the same and it did

Hi ...now i am getting notification...in samsung j7...100% works...go to smart manager in ur samsung mobile and swipe towrds left ...then enable that mode and u will find plus symbol click and add whatsapp....come out......then it works

I m a student and my parents wont buy me another phone..so plz samsung team fix this problem..we cant just uninstall the app every time.

Go to Settings > Notifications > Advanced. On the 'set as priority' on whatsapp and other apps that you wish. it works for my J5.

100% working tested in j7 Open settings Data usage Then what's upRestricted background data...off

Go to sound and notification>app notifitions then search for message notification >unblock

go to setting fst then data usage then turn off data usage limit its works

Go to settings and Turnoff the battery optimization ...you will get notifications of apps

My j7 version was 5.1 and now all people are using 6.1 version i have updated my j7 but it is showing that u have already updated ur mbl with latest features but it is same 5.1 version it has been updated nd i'm unable to see ultra data saving plz ny one could help me to resolve my j7 with new version of 6.1

My J7 doesn't have the data saving facility as well... As people suggested I update my device... I searched for the update... But it just says ALL THE LATEST UPDATES ARE INSTALLED... So I'm sure it has got to be something else... Some other way to get it...

Pull the notification bar down. Check the top panel where Wi-Fi and all is, check if there's Ultra data saving. I read from some Samsung Galaxy J7 users that some have it and some don't. This may also be the case in Samsung Galaxy J5.

Hi Marie. Simply dial 1 and follow the voice prompt. If that won't work, contact your carrier first to enable voicemail service.

Pull down the notification bar, tap on the auto rotate icon to enable it. You can also go to Settings > Display > When device is rotated. Hope that helps.

Hi, I accidentally set my dad's number as my voicemail so whenever I want to look at my voicemail, I ring him. Also it has left a sideways 8 at the top left of my bar and it won't go away from where I can't listen to the message (by the way, I have a Samsung galaxy j5). I set 1471 as the voice mail number on my mum's phone because that would be the number she calls on her landline... however she now has a permanent notification that she has a new voicemail (she wants it gone obviously). When I tap the notification it just comes the 1471 service has now closed. The phone is a Samsung j5..... any tips??

I have manually moved the Whatsup and Waze applications to the external card - with no solution to the internal-only memory getting updated. I don't store pics in my cell bc of low storage capabilities. I need to know how to root something so both the internal and external memories become one-only big memory in my cell.

Re: ONLY the internal NATIVE memory gets updated:What that means is this:Next time I buy a cell or replace my current one, I should get one with a BIG internal memory. That's it. The EXTERNAL one is only for secondary appls like WAZE and WHATSUP.

Just got the answer from Samsung Tech Support in Jordan:Some Cell applications can ONLY (!) run in internal NATIVE memory. That is why ONLY the NATIVE memory gets updated. Not the EXTERNAL.
