If you are looking for a good mid-range LTE smartphone from MetroPCS, then consider the Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G. It’s really more of an entry-level offering, but with its speedy single core procssor and Android 2.3 Gingerbread, it joins the ranks of handsets that are a step above.
Speaking of basic, this phone’s main features include an HVGA resolution 3.5-inch touchscreen display, 3MP camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS, 512MB of on-device RAM and 1GB of internal memory. Though little, the amount of internal storage space can be expanded further—up to 32GB—with microSD cards. And the standard battery has a capacity of 1,650 mAh and offers acceptable performance in terms of battery life.
And that’s pretty much the deal with this particular Samsung smartphone. It offers acceptable performance all around, from its mobile processor, its built-in camera, and its default operating system. There isn’t really anything seriously wrong with it. Its a perfectly capable CDMA smartphone that’s ready for action for those who want a taste of Android and LTE. Add to that the fact that its priced aggressively and you’ve got a handset that’s seriously contending for a spot inside your pocket.
With all of that said, if you need better specs, or want to experience using the latest version of the Android software, then you should be looking elsewhere.

- Eric M. Zeman, Phone ScoopThe Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G is a decent little phone. It does most things well, though it stumbles badly in a couple of places. The hardware works very well and still manages to look modern. The screen is good and battery life is even better. The Attain 4G offers a good software experience with And...
- Armando Rodriguez, PCWorldThe Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G may not be the best LTE phone we've ever reviewed, but at $250 with no contract, this handset is definitely a good deal. It's a shame that the phone ships with so much bloatware, but overall the Attain is worth a look--especially if you're shopping for a 4G Android phone...
- Jessica Dolcourt, CnetThere are two things to consider when buying any phone: the handset itself, and the network to which it's tied. For 200 bucks, the Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G is a pretty nice package for a midtier Android phone: it looks pretty good, it has two decent cameras, all the Android perks, and 4G LTE support...
