Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017)

“There seems to be a definite trend with Samsung's new Galaxy A series. We said it in the A5 (2017) review and we'll say it here again - the formula is just unique. Sure, EUR 450 is a bit pricey for a mid-ranger with no 4K recording. Sure, you can probably get more power for the buck. But an elegant, well-built phablet, with a Super AMOLED panel, amazing battery life, Samsung-brewed OS features and best of all, one that will survive an occasional dip in water - you can't really find that combo elsewhere. If it just clicks for you, don't hesitate in picking up the A7 (2017). You won't be disappointed.”

“If you're looking for a cheaper pared-down version of the Samsung Galaxy S7, this is it.”

“Apart from the much larger display, the A7 will last you almost twice as much on a single charge, which is important if you are out and about, and can't babysit a charger. All in all, if you are in need of a long-lasting big screen phone to consume media, browse or game on the go, the A7 will fit your mid-range budget, and then some.”

“Users looking for a robust handset that will get them through the day should consider the Galaxy A7. It's not the most powerful phone, so mobile gamers or video editors will be underwhelmed. But it's a perfectly capable device for anyone who just watches the odd video, browses Facebook or Twitter and sends and receives email.”
