The Galaxy A30 is a good-looking phone for its price. Despite the plastic build, the phone looks sleek and attractive, more so than the Galaxy M30. With the A30, you also get a decent performance, good battery life and a sweet AMOLED display. It also comes with One UI, which gives it an edge over th...

Samsung Galaxy A30 is one of the few Samsung mid-range offerings that I like. It's feature-rich with its striking AMOLED screen and design, modest internals, and above-average camera performance.

The A50 inspired design is good to look at but it misses out on the large battery and extra RAM from the Galaxy M30. As such, the phone doesn't come across as a strong enough player in the category.

So for the price of $250 dollars, the A30 offers you a great design, a great display, excellent battery life, decent cameras, and a user friendly UI. What it lacks in is the performance department, and that’s where the other phones like Redmi Note 7 and Realme 2 Pro excels at. Those phone has also g...

It is a decent performer, which can be referred to as a reliable daily driver. The device surely offers a modern design with excellent Super AMOLED display, a 6.4-inch vibrant full HD+ panel, decent build quality with above-average battery life, latest OS, but falls short on the performance part. Samsung could have stuffed in a more powerful and competitive chipset, considering the price it sells for. It could have offered a more feature-packed phone when it comes to competition.

The processor in the Galaxy A30 just isn't competitive enough at this price, when you have phones such as a the Oppo K1 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro that offer much better app and gaming performance. The cameras on the Galaxy A30 are another let-down. They take passable images under good light, but performance is severely lacking in low light.

The Galaxy A30 is Samsung’s honest attempt at a modern mid-range smartphone with all the stuff that clicks in the market right now: tall waterdrop notch display design, dual cameras, and a large battery. Samsung has its own secret ingredient too: it’s using a wide-angle sensor for its secondary rear camera to set itself apart, which works in the Korean electronics company’s favour because it’s been well executed.

Might be one of Samsung's best phones at an affordable price yet

There are still details to iron out and features to road test in the real world, but the Galaxy A30 could be a great phone for anyone wanting a nice Samsung without spending too much. This could be up there with the excellent Moto G7.
