Samsung has produced yet another “phone for young people” that want to connect, text and talk. The Samsung Comeback is in many ways another version of the Propel, only this one adds a second display and even easier access to the functions kids want.
While you won’t find any high-end elements or features here, you do get a great, dependable device perfect for the younger user who wants good call quality, a full QWERTY keypad, and some style.
The Samsung Comeback is a side-slider fashioned in white with red trim and accents. Closed, the navigation array bisects the display above and alpha-numeric keypad below. In the closed position the user can make calls, text using T9 and perform a short range of other features.
The phone opens to reveal a larger screen inside and a full QWERTY display dominating the left side, with an additional navigation array on the right. The Comeback allows easy access to instant messaging, email and social networking options. In the open mode kids can go wild with texting and just plain staying connected with their friends.
Add a 2 megapixel camera, a microSD slot which supports up to 16GB of songs, pictures and video, and you have text and social networking phone with a young, fun-feel that doesn’t go anywhere near higher functionality…and doesn’t want to.
If you are shopping for a teenage daughter, take a hard look at this fine phone.
