on the plus- its not to bad, its chunky and can survive anything, i have dropped it millions of times, and it just wont break (although i want it too) i threw it with enarly all my force while running, and the only thing that happened was the battery popped out. its a good phone for a first time phone user. very simple to use unlike other people, i do not find it has crappy battery power, mine lasts a long time wihtout being charged.i like that there is three alarms you can set. on the downside- it does shut off after i close it, and the buttons on mine are starting to get stiff, and when i click the text messageing shortcut it takes me to my display options. which is oviously not where i want to go, and it also moves down a list of options when i do not want it to. it doesnt have that great of reception. it has pretty bad quality of calling, you cant hear the other person so great, if i leavee it in my pocket, or in my bag, and someone texts me, and i press the side voice control button, it dials the person who texts me, and the camera often goes off by itself. so overall, its a prettty good phone, it lasted me nearly two years, and i didnt have a problem until about a month ago. Love it

I've had my phone for nearly 3 years, and have never had a problem with it. I will admit it is quite simple (low-quality resolution, and songs)...but that doesn't bother me...I just love that I have never had to bring it in for repairs, and have dropped it tons of times, and it's fine.

Turns off by itself (FIX)

from Amazon
I also have one that shuts off by itself. I have determined that the spacing over the buttons when closed is to tight, and slight pressure on the face when closed will cause it to turn off. I FIXED mine by putting a little sticker on the inside to increase the spacing when closed. Now it no longer turns off....

Worst phone I've had

I've had this phone for about 4 months now, and for the past 3 and half I've been looking for an excuse to get a new one. I used to have an old LG which I dropped in the ocean, and spend $50 on this one. It's only advantage is it is seemingly indestructible. I have dropped it countless times, many of them on concrete, with the battery and such coming out. Every time I put it back together it's as good as new. The buttons on the side drive me crazy. When you get a text, if you press any of the buttons on the outside it will call the person the text is from. This often happens without me realizing it, and taking a while to figure out I'm wasting my minutes on a call I didn't want to make. This is most irritating when it's long distance. It took me three months to figure out how to turn off the beep when I got a text, and I constantly drop calls. Unfortunatly I'm stuck with it until next Christmas when my contract expires. DON'T GET THIS PHONE. Less

Simply Put (Piece Of Crap)

I have had this phone for almost year now and I have had nothng but issues with it since day one. I have had to take it in for repair 8 times and it is currently in being looked at once again for trip # 9, it has been there for a little over 6 weeks already. I am a Canadian user going through Telus. I was even dumb enough to purchase the extended warranty for the phone but find myself wondering what good that is when I have been told I will not be given a new phone only have this one fixed. Well pardon me for not really believing you when you have apparently "FIXED" if 8 other times and see where that has gotten me so far.The issues that I have had experienced with this phone include but are not limited to the following: 1: Phone will turn itself off completly when a call has ended. Leaving you waiting to reboot the system. 2: The headset will get extremly hot after talking for about 5 mins leaving a nice red spot on your face. 3: Constantly dropping calls or won't even try calling the number. 4: Text Messages being sent repeatitly to the same recepient, or in some cases not at all. 5: While uploading a picture the phne freezes and the only way to turn off the phone is to remove the battery. 6: Even after having my phone upgraded all these lovely occurances still happen. 7: Most recent issue is when charging the battery overnight and it says battery charged in the morning after 7 hours. The charged bars drop down to half. This phone has got to be the worst purchase that I have ever made in my life and what makes it even worse is that I paid full price for this piece of crap. I just wish that someone would take responsibilty for all the issues that this phone seems to have and give us consumers something that we can actually use and trust that it isn't going to need a monthly trip to the shop to fix. I have had this phone for nearly two years now. I got a great deal from Sprint at the time (Double my old plan's anytime minutes, nights and weekends at 6pm, etc.), and they gave me a 150.00 credit towards a new phone. I saw this one in the Sprint store and loved the way it looks. That is its only redeeming quality. I'll list all the problems I've had with this phone in two years: 1. Random and unavoidalbe power-downs. 2. Poor battery life. 3. When you are writing a text and you receive a new one, the phone deletes the text you were working on to display the newly received one. 4. Sometimes the phone can hold 100 texts in the inbox, other times it can hold 65, other times, 89. The phone makes NO sense with memory management. 5. The phone deletes incoming texts rather than the oldest text EVEN WHEN YOU SET IT TO DELETE THE OLDEST TEXT. 6. Bad voice quality (people are hard to understand on this phone). 7. No MP3 support. 8. Poor camera quality (I know it's a phone, but I've seen better cameras on other camera phones) 9. Extremely sensitive side buttons (I've taken numerous shots of my pants pocket because of the touchy camera button on the side) In the end the charger connection to the phone broke 1 month before I was eligable for the phone upgrade service for Sprint customers. I'm now dropping this phone for the Sony Ericson w810i and I'm jumping over to Cingular and dropping Sprint. Sprint really needs to get some better phones for its service. The phone is aweful, avoid it at all costs. Less

My wife and I both have these phones (soon to be past tense). They both did fine the first 8 or so months and then they developed issues with poor reception, turning themselves off when you close the clamshell, etc. Both phones have been serviced numerous times by the Sprint repair person who finally agreed to replace them with Sanyos.
