“We're still wondering what Pantech's thinking was with the Link – it sort of reminds us of how it “links” traditional basic phone owners to the sophisticated designs of smartphones. From afar, it clearly entices anyone with its streamlined look that finds itself in the same category of some smartphones. Moreover, the Pantech Link easily shows how it quickly establishes itself as being a well-balanced phone that will suffice to the needs of many individuals out there. The elegant design of the Pantech Link P7040 makes it one of the best looking QWERTY handsets available that won't break the bank and doesn't skimp out on the features to match its sleek exterior. Needless to say there are a handful of QWERTY alternatives on AT&T's lineup that will suffice if the Link isn't to your liking – the Pantech Impact P7000, Samsung Strive, and LG Neon.”

“In the end, the Pantech Link provides some nice hardware, but it's held back by lackluster software. The keyboard is very good, especially for a device at this price point ($10 with a contract at launch). The slim shell and rubberized back make this an easy phone to carry around. The screen is fairly low-res, but that's to be expected on an inexpensive, Quick Messaging device. My biggest complaint is with the software. AT&T's interface needs to meet the needs of the audience for this phone. Instead of a standard feature phone interface, with only the most basic messaging features thrown in, I'd like to see an interface that's all about staying in touch. A unified inbox, built in support for Facebook and Twitter, even an improved Instant Messaging app would be an improvement.”

I found the answer for my pantech P2000 .. After many tries with the pantech pc suite which would not work I did this. Advice from radio shack ,, went to walmart and got an SD MICRO MEMORY CARD RS showed me how to insert it under battery. In the camera section there is an option to switch from phone to external. Then using data cable and highlighting an image and under options select external for each photo you want to move, then you will be able to upload all to your photo gallery using the USB data cable.

In order to upload files to a computer, you must connect the phone to your system with a USB data cable and the Pantech PC Suite software. Instructions: - Download the Pantech PC Suite here - Double-click the downloaded file to load the PC Suite installation wizard. Accept the end-user agreement. Follow the prompts to install the software. - Plug the USB data cable into the USB port on the Pantech 7040. Insert the opposite end of the cable into a USB port on the computer. - Launch the Pantech PC Suite software and the program automatically detects the connected phone. - You can now access your phone through the computer. source

This phone does not have an option for signatures. However, you can save templates to use as an alternative. You would have to manually select the template within message options to use it.

The password usually is the last 4 digits of your phone number. If that doesn't work, call your carrier to ask for assistance.

Remove the microSD from your phone and insert it to your computer. The microSD should appear as a Removable Drive which you can find in My Computer. Just drag and drop files to the Removable Drive. When done with the transfer, insert microSD back to your phone and pictures should appear in your phones Photo Album.
