The Pantech PN-8200 is a great devise that has the standard phone features and is loaded with a maximum memory card capacity of 4 GB, rather than the 2 GB that other manufacturers go with.

Have the re-branded New Zealand version the Okta TX-820, but it is still the Pantech 8200. I don't ask me why NZ Telecom had to rebrand it from Pantech to Okta. Have to say it isn't a bad phone and it was more than I wanted at the time. Have grown to understand most of its functionality and like it for the most part. Often call it the poor man's iPhone as it has all the basic programs of Windows Mobile but no Microsoft Office interaction. It does go a bit off track when I'm entering something, so generally don't. Just wait till I get back to the computer and type it up to Outlook to transfer over to the phone. But this avoids loosing appointments, something that has happened to me a few times. Essentially you get what you paid for and if you want more get an iPhone or something else with touch screen capability. But if you are offered for free and don't mind its quirkiness it is very good on the road. Less

Piece of shit

I've had this phone for over a year now but hated it since day one. Nothings friendly nor user friendly about the interface. Side buttons always seem to get in the way of something else and actually, my volume button is broken and as no adjustments otherwise, meaning that since it as broken at its lowest volume, my remote earpiece is basically mute as well. The handling is akward with no firm grasp or else always pressing something you didn't mean to. I want back to a certified Telus store the very next day to argue for a long time basically to end up being told to suck it up... There's only one thing that is worst than this phone, and it's the way phone companies treat their customers. Less

This phone has all the amazing functionality of a full size PDA but in a flip phone. Pros: small size; decent screen; excellent functionality Cons: mildly clunky program interface; where's the touchscreen? The interaction with applications can be cumbersome requiring multiple key strokes to get what you want to happen to actually happen. A touch screen would have made this a non-issue. Overall it is a really good cell phone with some excellent (albeit sometimes hard to use) PDA functionality. Ideal for the individual seeking mobile email convenience with Office functionality but not wanting a big PDA in their pocket. Not great for anyone wanting to use it for responding to multiple emails on a daily basis. Less

text a picture

This phone does not have the capability to text a picture. Unless I am doing something wrong. I can't seem to figure out why a phone that does everythign else would not do this simple task

This phone lasted me 13 days , Litterly. It is very much like that Nokia one that splits at the hindges. Mine had bad reception to begin with and then when I closed it for the night and put it on my dresser , the next morning I found the screen cracked, and purple. Why Purple? Because all the pixels had mixed together. Not only could I not see the time nor date , I couldn't see the menu or anything I was doing. This may have been just a fluke, but a few of my friend's have broken too. I Advise you guys to look for a diffrent phone, a more reliable one that won't break from a simple click. Less
