Sadly you're not alone.

Smartphones have become valuable targets and there's now something like 113 that go missing each minute in the US alone.

Yes, each minute!

Depressing stories aside, if your phone went bye bye, there's one action you need to take immediately.

Call your service provider and report your phone stolen!


Because you're responsible for any calls made by the pirate who robbed you.

The last thing you need now is the extra pain of massive phone bill.

I know you want to get straight to tracking down your device or maybe choosing a new model, but first things first ok?

Your provider will suspend your service at no charge and if you find it again, it only takes a minute or two for them to reinstate.

Let's do this together! 

Get them on the phone.

Tell them your phone has been stolen.

They will temporarily suspend your service, lock your SIM card, add your IMEI to the blacklist, and advise how much time you have to recover your phone or get a new one.

Done? Great!

Remember that typically while your service is in suspension, your contract is also suspended. This means that if you suspend for thirty days, that time will be added to the end of your contract.

If they cancel your service, and you are still under contract, they will still charge you an early termination fee, which is usually about $200.
