It's a gorgeous looking phone that's a lot of fun to use in most cases, but in 2019, there's even more pressure in the mid-range to compete. The Reno Z doesn't stand alone in the mid-range the way previous Oppo phones may have, but it's certainly worth your consideration.

While there are elements that don't quite match up to the premium flagships of the world, phones as good as the Reno Z really shouldn't cost so little. It's an impressive all-round device with very few weaknesses. If your budget is just £300 for a phone, you'll find it very hard to find something be...

Common Questions

Oppo released the Reno Z on June 30, 2019.

The Reno Z price will vary depending on retailer, age, special offers and whether or not it's purchased with a service plan. If purchased with a 2 year service contract for example, you would likely pay much less for the phone itself up front. You can compare Oppo Reno Z prices from around the web here on The Informr.

If your Reno Z has problems and is still within its warranty period, you could contact Oppo support or the retailer you purchased the phone from. You'll find Oppo's contact information here. If your phone is off warranty and needs repair for a physical problem such as a broken screen or bad battery, you should visit an authorized service centre or a local phone repair shop. The Reno Z subtracts much of what makes the mainline Reno such an exceptional device. However, for less than half the price, it manages to carve out a compelling balance between nailing the essentials and being good enough at everything else that you rarely think about what you’re missing out on. There’s a sleight of hand at play here but, at $499, it’s hard to complain too much about the Reno Z.

Top-notch hardware at a rock-bottom price

The phone doesn’t change the world of mid-range smartphones the way the stellar Pixel 3a did with its industry-leading camera. But by getting nearly all the basics right it earns a place as one of 2019’s best £300 smartphones, offering solid battery life, an alluring design and top-notch screen.

Gadget Guy

It is a class-leading act even if its as cheap as chips

from Gadget Guy

Huge colourful, bright AMOLED display, fast SoC, 8/128GB, and a 48 (12MP) and 32MP selfie camera. There is not one thing to dislike about this. I love this phone. In a week or so of use, it could be my daily drive. At $499 it makes me think about forking out over $1000 on a flagship ever again.
