The Nokia Lumia 1320 is Nokia's second foray into the ever-growing "phablet" market. It's a mid-range, more budget-friendly sibling of the Lumia 1520, both of which offer a Windows 8 experience and 6 inch screens.
Despite its relatively large size reviewers were impressed by the overall streamlined look and feel of the phone. TechRadar notes that the curved form allows the phone to "sit nicely in the hand without being too cumbersome." It's also customizable. Users can remove their original cover and replace it with one of their choice.
The 6 inch display offers 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, not full HD. While the display might not be good enough for multimedia "junkies," as Wired UK states, it does utilize Nokia's ClearBlack display technology which, according to Trusted Reviews, helps enhance the colors of the display with "bright, vibrant, rich hues."
Similar to its display, the 1320's other specs are also not headline-grabbing. Instead, it offers a modest 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and only 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 64GB thanks to a microSD slot. These specs won't top the benchmark test charts, however reviewers from TechRadar did not notice any significant lag or issues when starting up apps.
The rest of the phone falls comfortably in the middle of the road category. The 5 megapixel camera is lackluster when compared to the its sibling's 20 megapixel camera, however Pocket Lint mentions that the camera does take decent pictures and comes with a variety of Nokia smart camera apps.
The battery in the phone is the same as the one found in the 1520 and should, according to Nokia, offer 21 hours of talk time.
Overall, most reviewers aren't wowed by the Lumia 1320, but they do find it to be a fairly solid device despite its lackluster specs and camera. CNET argues that while the specs don't live up to the other phablets, the Windows 8 OS doesn't require high end specs and goes on to say that the 1320 is "a sweetheart of a deal."
