Extremely unimpressed

I've had this phone 11 months, but I knew after 1 month that I wanted a different one. The external ring tone is so quiet that I can't hear the phone ring if it's in my purse, or in another room, or not listening for it. The reception is lousy - I've had more dropped calls on this phone than with any other phone, ever. It's cheaply made - the casing over my "antenna" just came off, and it's been scratched since 2 days after I bought it. I just wanted a simple phone the make and receive calls - no texting or cameras, I couldn't have a camera phone in the facility I was working in - and this phone wa very disappointing. Less

Good basic phone

from eBay
If you need a no-frills phone, it works great. No camera, no downloadable ringtones . . . just excellent reception and sound quality. It does have Blurtooth, which works great. My only negative . . . the ring volume is difficult to hear.

I have been meaning to get into the cellular movement, especially since I use my computer mainly for my landline. So, if someone trys to call me, usually my line is busy. The phone was in great shape. like-new condition. The only sour point would be that I'm stuck with an out-of-town number. Which means others, living in the same area, would have to dial long distance, to reach me. I'm not sure if I can change to a local number. I'm totally new to this cellular enviroment! Less

Worst Cell Phone I've ever owned

from Amazon
This Phone is awful. Short battery life, and an inaudible incoming call ring. Don't purchase it, I would not recommend this to anyone even my worst enemy.

Nokia Rules

I like the fact that when the phone rings, you don't jump out of your skin, or have to apologize as you rush to put the phone on vibrate. The clarity of reception just cannot be beat, and the simplicity of the phone appeals to me in this age of excess gadgetry on phones. I blame Verizon for not offerin...More
I like the fact that when the phone rings, you don't jump out of your skin, or have to apologize as you rush to put the phone on vibrate. The clarity of reception just cannot be beat, and the simplicity of the phone appeals to me in this age of excess gadgetry on phones. I blame Verizon for not offering better Nokia selections. If there was better T-Mobile coverage in my area, I would definitely switch because of their Nokia phone selection. But this is a nice phone and I have it vibrate as well as ring so I can catch it in the car as I listen to tunes. Less

I've had this phone about a year, after having an LG phone for 2 years. I bought it because I work in secure facilities that do not allow cameras, and this was the only phone Verizon had that did not have a camera. Pros: -call quality is pretty decent -no complaint about coverage -small package -decent construction Cons: -the menu structure is horrible, and simple features like SILENT mode require you to dig through menus to find them - to make the phone useable, I had to create a user menu and put all the important features in there -I miss quite a few calls because I can't hear the phone ring in my shirt pocket -when dialing a number, I can wait as long as 15 or 20 seconds before I hear a ring on the other end -I routinely get voice messages, but the phone never rang in the first place, and there was no 'missed call' in the call record -there is an array of funky little icons that come and go - I've had the phone for a year and I still can't tell you what they all mean, in spite of referring to the manual more than a few times -simple features like the calculator stink, and are almost unusable -the power connector is proprietary. I lost my charger on a recent trip, so I went to Target to get a replacement - they had one for 'Nokia - All Models'; Sorry, not for this one. The bottom line is that if you just need a phone for an occasional call, this phone is probably OK. If you are like me and you make your living on your phone, this is not the phone for you. I wish I had my 3 year old LG back. Less

This is a prepaid phone and Verizon knows that it has to be activated as prepaid. Ebay sellers lie and claim there is a way around. There is none! Save yourself some time and get something else to replace you Verizon handset. As far as prepaid it is probably a fine unit as Nokia always makes exelent phones. Less

It is a nice phone. A little small but nice.

from eBay
I like it. I bought it because it does not have a lot of useless options that could go wrong with it.
