Best cellphone ever!
I still use my mom`s Nokia (2003) Iv drop it, and into water...numorious times and it still works like day one.`I was in Republic of El Salvador and called Ottawa Ontario just fine...this Kokia cell phone maybe old tech, but it will outlast anything thats new tech, betcha! I stand by any product that does not let me down...years later. I will absolutely purchase a new Nokia, if and when this old but reliable Nokia no longer works.Less
Too bad this phone is old technology hard to text with - it was basic but as everyone else said, "takes a beating..." like the old Timex. I finally updated to a new phone and purposely bought a Nokia C3 because the rating don't seem too bad and trust this manufactuer now. I passed it down to my 12 year old and will probably pass it to his younger sister. I actually got this wet and it survived - good reception from Vancouver to PEI.Less
Greatest Cell Phone Ever!
I bought this phone in 2006, and have never regretted my choice. It is absolutely unstoppable. I have put this little phone through hell, and it just. Won't. Quit! I'm only just beginning to have battery issues with it now, but I see on eBay I can get a new Li-Ion battery for it for $5 + shipping. I'm all over that, because there is no phone currently on the market that could withstand the torture my little Nokia has been through. Let's see, I've: - dropped it in water (repeatedly) - dropped it in a bucket of used motor oil - dropped it in snow, and then ran it over - drop-kicked it across a store and into a brick wall (slipped out of my hand while I was walking) - dropped it on a concrete floor. It fell TOTALLY apart (5 pieces - battery cover, battery, face, keypad and body). Picked it up, snapped it back together, fired it up and it still works perfectly! - dropped it - dropped it - dropped it some more! My favourite feature is the flashlight power button. I will do whatever it takes to cling to my 2125i as long as is humanly possible. There is no better, more durable cell phone out there.Less
BEST phone EV-ER!
It's old and clunky, but it's never failed me. I dropped it ALL the time, if it comes apart, it always goes back together. I've had this phone for at least 4 years and the battery still LASTS for an entire week before I have to recharge it. It's the phone that never dies. Obviously being a much older phone, its pretty much only good for short texts and phone calls, but I guess until they come out with a phone that's good for clumsy people, I'll be stickin' with my Nokia 2126i. Love you 2126i, you are the SHIT!Less
i had this phone for 3 years (bought it for the low low price of $60) WORKS GREAT! perfect for a person who just needs super basic texting and calling. the good: - texting is fast and speedy - always good reception - small - UNBREAKABLE (dropped it over ten times.. launched itout of my locker across the room... it bounces!!) - some ringtones seemed less annoying than the ones that come on the phones nowadays the bad: - stopped working after three years.. wouldn't stay on (not a battery problem) - possibly a dropping problem - t9 is not as smart as phones nowadays - scrolling through texts takes a long time - the only thing that works on the internet is text based facebook. my sister had the same phone and it stopped working about three years after she got it. my dad has the same phone and it's still working.Less
The Most Indestructible Phone Ever Offered
Pro: This phone is like the Terminator-knock it down and it keeps on!! Great battery life. Con: Limited features Using experience: 3 years I never have reviewed any cell phones but I feel obligated with the partying of ways with my all-time favorite. I had this phone for about 3 years and never had any failures or breakdowns. It is a basic phone and can be called the "Honda Civic" of cell phones. I am always on the go and have my phone in front pockets, on top of cars, even in grocery bags. Consequently I dropped my 2125i probably well over a 1000 times. The last year when it was dropped it broke into faceplate, battery, and the rubber key platform. I'd put it back together and its back to business. Here is the incredible testimonial. The other day it fell out of my front pocket while I was getting into my Nissan Maxima. I overlooked this and ran over the phone. Well that killed it! Not really. It would still power up and receive and make calls. I had to retire it because the front display window glass got a purple splotch and blocked the viewing of info. I would love to have another one of these again. Best cell ever built!!Less
Nokia 2125i - Totally Solid, long lasting
I had this phone for over a year and it took a beating. Then I lost it on a Fernie ski slope. I got an LG160 clamshell as the cheapest replacement but it was crap compared to the Nokia 2125i. I was so glad to finally find another one from a local private sale because VM canada no longer sells nokia! The keypad is much more tactile - easier to press, the phone is easier to hold when speaking (due to the candy bar/ brick design). The best part is the BATTERY LIFE - its way longer than the newer lg160.Less
great and tough
i used this phone for 1.5+ years and will try to use as long as possible, even I crashed it during ice skating. Its really tough- i guess i landed on my butt at least few times.Screen is broken, however it still works great, having hard times to read messages though. Battery is great, easy lasts 6-7 days with daily alarm and couple calls. nothing fancy, basic stuff, but never trade for anything elseLess
5 phones in the Family
After many years of locked in service plans and high tech phones, I went back to basics...and so did 4 other family members. By far the best phone I have owned. It is 3 years old...and I dread the day I have to replace it. Mobile Web service makes this little phone a mobile power house...for my needs.Less
Tough, and great reception
My Uses: - pay as you go emergency phone, not much talking, more texting. - Virgin Mobile (bell's network) in Canada, Toronto. This phone is great, especially for the price (ie. free in most cases) I've had it for nearly 4 years and it still works like new. The battery by now only lasts 3 days on standby, it used to last all week at least with little to no talk time and texting less than once a day. It's sound is mediocre, not the best for chatting a long time, but great for a quick conversation and getting your facts fast. It's tough as nails. I never got a case, instead I just put a piece of clear packing tape over the screen. The tape after 4 years is a little bit scratched, the phone itself is flawless. It's been living in my purse with keys and pens. Zero fancy features, not polyphonic, no camera, no mp3s, basic ring tones, LOUD ringing volume (ive kept it on the 2nd quietest setting and never had a problem hearing it. Sometimes wish it could go more quiet than the lowest actually). The alarm clock works great. The flashlight is actually kind of handy, I've used it to find key holes for car and home at night. Multiple numbers per contact is also great. Reception is AMAZING! Basements, parking garages, even some parts of the subway underground. Outside I always have full bars. If you just want a phone that won't break and will work (reception) when you need it and wont' die (battery) in a day, this is it.Less
