We’re still not certain if this is legit or not, but word is that Skype will be releasing an iPhone version of their app soon.
According to GigaOM, an iPhone Skype app will be released as early next week, and considering that CTIA begins next week as well, it could possibly be true. Granted that there are apps available already such as Fring that provides Skype support on the iPhone, we’re definitely interested to find out what this new app has to offer. With Skype 3.0 Beta for Windows Mobile devices offering SMS and file sending/receiving options, these two features are on the top of our wish list as far as iPhone Skype app features are concerned.
