This little app, no matter how crude and weird it may be, has proven something to the entire iPhone community. It's possible to run an app through the Safari browser without even having to jailbreak the iPhone or install any additional software. paiTouch is the handy work of our Japanese friends and despite its lack of creativity or usefulness, it does prove that one isn't limited to the jailbreak process in order to run independent apps. In turn, such a breakthrough opens the doors to a whole new world of possibilities.

Is this the end of jailbreaking as we speak? Probably not, but this does open up a new venue for application developers, especially those who love writing flash programs, to make their mini apps available to the iPhone without having to jailbreak or even put it up on Apple's App Store.
