Another Windows Mobile 6.1 update is now available, and this time around, it’s for the XV6800 (HTC Titan) from Verizon.

It has most of the new and improved features we can expect from the latest version of the OS such as threaded SMS, and better battery life. However, GPS functionality, unfortunately, is still left locked so your hopes of using 3rd party navigation apps are gone. Oh well, such is the consequence of getting a mobile phone from a telecom. I wonder; when will those days of yesteryear wherein mobile phone manufacturers released the firmware updates be making a comeback?

As usual, back up your data before proceeding with the update. The file is a bit smaller at 58.8MB as opposed to the 88MB for the AT&T Tilt. So, if you're ready, you can start downloading it now.
