iOS 4.1 update

Apple has just released iOS 4.1, the first major update to their new iOS 4 mobile platform. Just as we discussed in a previous post, iOS 4.1 intros new features such as HD video uploading, TV show rentals, and HDR photography. It also comes with several important bug fixes to address some of the known issues that have plagued the iPhone 4 including the proximity sensor problem and poor performance of iOS 4 on the iPhone 3G. It's compatible with the iPhone 3G, iPhoine 3G S, and the new iPhone 4. To read more about iOS 4.1, you can check it out here.

To download, just hook up your iPhone to your PC/Mac and launch iTunes. It should inform you that an update is already available for your iPhone. For jailbreak aficionados out there, stay clear of iOS 4.1 for the time being as there's still no available jailbreak that's known to work with this particular iOS firmware.
