Electronic Arts revealed that developer PopCap's Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time will arrive exclusively for iOS devices on July 18. iPhone and iPad owners will be able to download the app for free although there will be in-app purchasers for upgrades and items. Popcap says the new game takes place across time, with new plants to help players defend against the zombie horde. The game is expected to be launched in other platforms soon although Popcap has not made an official announcement.
