Better Late Than Never: HTC One on Verizon August 22nd

Verizon said it'll be carrying the HTC One starting August 22nd for $199.99 with a new contract. The smartphone has been praised for its high-quality construction and solid performance. However, the announcement by the largest carrier in the U.S. comes months after the handset was launched internationally and at other major wireless carriers around the U.S. starting April. Verizon has started accepting pre-orders this week.

What Else You Need To Know

  • Verizon's $199 HTC One comes with 32GB of storage, thus offering more storage than other similarly priced handsets.
  • The HTC One features a 4-MP "ultrapixel" camera that gathers 300 percent more light, a Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 600 clocked at 1.7GHz, and a Sense 5.0 interface over the Android 4.1 operating system.
