Owners of non-Nexus devices can now switch to a stock Google Keyboard, the virtual keyboard that Google uses for its own devices. The Google Keyboard app offers all of the same features that were introduced on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean's default keyboard, including gesture typing, automatic error correction, word predictions, and voice typing. The Google Keyboard app requires Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or higher and can be installed for free through the Google Play Store.
What Else You Need To Know
- Google Keyboard is touted as one of the smartest keyboards with its gesture typing feature, which actively predicts words on-screen as the user gestures between letters.
