The “Active Edition” VE 465 reminds me of a much fatter RAZR. There are some benefits to this device though: it has been rubberized all around, has dedicated music keys can hold up to 4GB for all your music and videos, plus it feels light in the hand... Full review

I can't believe I haven't thrown it under my tire - not pleased at all with this phone - will be looking for another one soon!!! Less

A Nightmare from day 1

Nothing but trouble with these phones (yes, we were dumb enough to get 2). Texts don't come or go most of the time, don't receive calls, freezes up. I strongly recommend against this sad excuse for a phone.

Pro: Nice Design, Stereo Bluetooth, Good Sound Quality, Nice music player features. Con: Voice Command turns on speakerphone. Using experience: 2 days This phone is a decent phone for what it is. The outstanding item is the music playing feature. It has controls on the front that allow you to play/pause/change songs without opening the flip. My biggest complaint is that the Voice Command button automatically turns on the speakerphone. (There is a separate speakerphone button that I could push if I WANTED to use speakerphone.) With my old Motorola, I frequently opened it, pushed the Voice Command button and dialed someone by voice. Now if I do this, I am automatically on speakerphone. If I had known this, I would not have gotten this phone. Less

I went into futureshop yesterday to sign up with Koodo. The VE465 looked like a solid, simple design that appears to even have a water resistant key pad. Theres something rugged looking about the design. On the contrary, after signing up and taking it home I took a closer look and noticed that the key pad and parts of the phone are made of a dense porous foam which feels like it would very quickly start to deteriorate. The clincher for me was when I unplugged the phone after its initial recommended 12 hour charge it panicked, cycling into infinity through not recognizing the battery, crashing, booting, not recognizing the battery, crashing, booting. The only fix was to take the battery out and put it back in. Same thing happend when I charged and then unplugged. Hardly a good first impression for such an expensive phone. It has no bells or whistles unlike the smart phone wannabes that are in the same price range with Koodo. Ive also heard roomers about what horrible quality Motorola phones are and this doesnt help my impression. I'll be switching to the Samsung Slyde. A friend and my girlfriend both have been using the slyde for 6+ months, dropping them, using them, etc. and they still work. Update: A few more thoughts after having a full day to use it before returning it: - The plastic nipple cover for the USB charging/data jack is made of a very rigid plastic and I found it just would not stay in the slot after using it the first time. It was constantly just hanging loose when I would pull it out of my pocket. - Due to the backlighting of the screen and the font size, which is not alterable, it was frustrating trying to use this phone in a bright daylight setting (side walk, sunny clear sky). I could barely see what was on the screen. Less
