ROGERS WIRELESS IS FETCHING FIDO (MICROCELL TELECOMMUNICATIONS) FOR 35/SHARE AND RETAINING THE FIDO BRAND.YOU WILL HAVE NO PROBLEM USING EITHER FIDO/ROGERS WIRLEESS.IF YOU BUY DIRECTLY FROM MOTOROLA YOU WILL BE BUYING A LOCKED VERSION - WHY NOT SHOP AROUND FOR AN UNLOCKED VERSION OF THE V400 AND YOU WILL SAVE A FEW DOLLARS. THERE ARE EXCELLENT ONLINE RETAILERS WHO SELL UNLOCKED GSM HANDSETS AND WE ARE ONE OF MANY ONLINE RETAILERS IN CANADA.IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE CALL US AT 877-578-7355 OR CHECK OUR OUR LISINGS IN THE PHONES FOR SALE THREAD.

Motorola is a bit more secure with their products. You will need the cable to transfer anything to the phone. I've tried the Bluetooth adaptor..didn't do too well with it..that could be just me..but the phone has really limited SHARED space..you can fit one or 2 max mp3's on the phone, and games, best to dload it off GPRS or WAP.. - Cyrus

Hi dummasrox,I believe you should be able to save different types of phone numbers IF you save it to your phone. The sim card can only accomedate ONE number, and same with photoID..you can only apply pictures to those numbers or names that are saved to yuor phone memory. - Cyus

what you would do is get the unlocked version because if Rogers does not carry it the phone won't work on there network unless it is unlocked.Once you buy the phone from ebay.com or whereever you get it from you can go buy a sim card from rogers and then activate it under that.most Rogers will carry sim cards.

yes you can have mp3 ringtones.u just have to get them on through the data cable..you have 5mbs worth of space..u'll need to cut and edit whatever mp3 you hvae to fit in..cuz its 5Mb shared throughout the phone.
