I've had this phone for just over 3 1/2 years; and it hasn't failed me yet. Pros: Easily guided menu, good volume control, variety of programmed rings, holds many pictures, holds a good amount of contacts. Calculator, Calender, and Alarm Clock. Good messaging system. Main menu and navigations keys can be programmed. Cons: Camera doesn't take very good pictures, can't handle image messages and music ring tones don't work. Description: I've had this phone since my first year of high school and I've never had a real problems with it. I've dropped it a thousand times easily and it still works fantastic. There are a few things with it but they don't appear too often. For calls, I find the call quality and the ring qualities to be quite good. The call quality is fantastic when you have good service; but sadly the less bars you have, the less reliable it can be. The less bars you have, the more likely the phone will drop your call. (Take that comment with a grain of salt, it might be because of my service provider). The phone itself, has many different rings programmed as well as just sounds which you can program to be your text indicator, or other alarms. One of the downsides for me, is that I can't download different ring tones or put any music on the phone to be a ring tone. The volume control is fantastic though even after it's many trips to the floor or falls as it were. Silent is absolutely silent. Vibrate is good, you can feel it but there isn't a loud vibration noise with it. Then the loudness goes between 1 - 7. They're clear and crisp. For those who love to take pictures, sadly this isn't the phone. the pictures turns out very pixalated but I tend not to take many pictures which why it doesn't bother me too much. I love the calender and the alarm clock. I'd be lost without them. For those who like to text (like I started over the last few years) It's actually a really good phone. For me, I text constantly. They've got a very clear inbox, outbox, and drafts. The phone has a button that leads you right to your texting menu; which I love! The phone allows you to choose between predictive texting (where when you begin your word, it gives you options on what you might be trying to spell) and the classic texting system. It's all in the the number pad (no fold out keyboard, sorry) but it really is effective once you've gotten into the habit of where the letters are. Saving contacts and whatnot is easy, and you can decide if you want your calls to be answered with the flip open of the phone or only with the button. I love the lock feature which stops anyone who doesn't know the combination to get into your phone after it's been turned on. Over it's many falls and years of use, I've noticed the few little things that you might wanna know. • If dropped, sometimes it will ask again for the unlock code. • Sometimes messages take a while to send depending on length. • After a couple years the battery is slowly starting to go. The battery comment (cause I know I look for battery life on any review I read) is very light. I've never had a big problem with battery life. I've gone a week to ten days without charging it. The battery only has 3 bars; but they last for a while. Sometimes the display is off (sometimes showing more then it has or vise versa) but that might be due to the age of the phone. In general, if you see this phone on sale, or what not and you want something that will last, get it. It's not a fantastic perfect phone (well to today's phone standards) but it's really durable, and it will get you through the day and it will survive as long as you need it to. I know it has for me. :D Less

This was my first phone and it has served me well. As far as design does, it's very thick and has a big bulbous antenna sticking out of it. As annoying as that was, I've dropped this phone many different times, usually from about a 5 foot drop, and it only has some very minor scratching on the surface. This thing is practically indestructible. As far as features go, it's really a basic phone. Don't expect anything out of the camera or video recording features. One thing this phone does amazingly well is call quality. Conversations are crisp and loud. Also, I have never used or seen a phone with reception like this one. It's probably due to the antenna on the exterior. I can get crystal clear reception even from underground in the subway stations or even in the underground city (on two floors nearest the surface). In short, this phone is ugly and only provides basic features, but it outperforms most of the flashy "high-end" phones out there like the razr. Less

Pro: Picture phone Con: voice command and speakerphone I traded in my Moto V70S for this expecting a better phone. The only thing better is color and picture phone. All other features were a giant step backward. VOICE COMMAND: why the extra menu (digit dial) to get to saying the name of the person to dial?? Then - it fails to consistently recognize my voice. "HOME" dials "WORK" etc. SPEAKERPHONE: Even with the volume full up - cannot hear the speaker because it is ON THE BACK OF THE PHONE!! What dingbat designed this??Practically useless. And other parties complain they cannot hear well. VOLUME CONTROL: When switching from vibrate to ringer, one has to urn the volume back up because vibrate automatically selects low volume. Annoying. Should have kept my V70S. Less

I purchased this phone as an upgrade to my Motorola v180. After I wrestled with the GoPhone packaging, wiped the blood off my knuckles, and pulled the phone out, my initial thought was: "this is a well made phone". Compared to other consumer, prepaid phones on the market (my old v180 for ex.) this is a sturdy little phone. It lacks the plasticy, touch me too hard and I'm going to break, feel. The screen size on this phone is alright. Larger than some, smaller than alot. One minus is the contrast. For my preference the screen is too dark. As of yet, I have found no way to adjust this. (if someone else knows how, call me stupid and drop me an e-mail) Now on to the camera. This camera takes better indoor pictures than my other digital camera! I used to fear low light, but this camera has no problems with it. Unforunatly, is does have problems focusing sometimes. Many of my pictures came out slightly fuzzy. One, BIG plus for this camera is the ability to connect it to your PC via a mini USB cable and motorola's "Phone Tools" software. Neither of which mine came with. Thankfully I already owned this. If you don't have it, get it! Now, my phone came with no games or apps. Just a couple of teasing demos. Over all im impressed with this phone. It's not the best by today's standards, but for $90, WOW! Plus couple it with Cingular's great network and killer customer support and your good to go. I'd say it's one of the best prepaid phones on the market. Less
