I experienced the same trouble as the prior reviewer. The flip would become loosened, then ultimately become completely unhinged. Initially, I thought it may have been something I was doing... but realized it was the design of the phone. Cingular/AT&T said that issue wasn't covered, not a frequent complaint, etc. I received no cooperation... finally had to get another phone altogether. Less

I received this phone as a free upgrade on ATT. Within the first month the hinge on the flip became loose, I could hold the phone face down and it would open a bit (not much but my old Razr was TIGHT and never opened this way) I took it to the ATT store and they said it seemed like a manufactures issue but that it would not be covered. She referred me to the service center 45 minutes away. I went there and they quickly agreed that that was not right so the had a new one shippied to me. Like five months later, the same thing started to happen, I could feel something loose when I would open and close the phone. Within days I tried to open it and the hinge/ casing cracked! I went back to the service center (45 minutes away!!) and they said that it was physical damage. I said its cracked because the hinge broke!! I told them that I had already returned one phone thinking that would help my case but the put it off on Motorolla. Of course when I called motorola they said that there were no other complaints but I coul pay $65 and they would gladly replace it!! I said if I have to agree to stay with ATT 2 years, then I would expect the phone to last at least that long!! I pulled out my razor which was >4 years old and am using that until it's time for upgrade again. Less
