I got this phone as a replacement phone since I did not want to extend my contract. I replaced an LG which conked out in less than 2 years. I have always had a good experience with Motorola that's why I decided to go back to that brand. I was looking for a basic phone which was not going to cost over $100. I shopped around and found this phone. This has a 3.5 star rating with Cnet. This phone is attractive and has a touch screen on the front that allows you to activate the camera. It's an mp3 player but I don't use that feature. I was looking for a phone for calling and texting and have a camera/camcorder. This phone has met all that (the camera is a 2.0 megapixels) except for the call quality. The sound is comparatively the lowest one I've ever noticed on a cellphone and I have owned Nokias, Motorolas and LGs. I have the earpiece volume on high. Like what the previous reviewer said, you can still make out the words. There is no problem with the call quality on the other line (my sister didn't complain when I made my first call from this phone and talked to her for 30mins) but I don't think you'll be able to use this phone to carry on a conversation in very noisy places. I did not have problems with texting at all. Overall, I'm happy with this phone for the price I paid for it. I was intending to buy this from Amazon but since it's out of stock, I had to go to ebay. I'm editing my review and dropping my rating from 3 stars to 1! This is the worse cell phone I've ever owned. I have tried Nokias, LGs and Motorolas and this is by far the most infuriating one. Imagine typing a long text message and suddenly, your screen freezes and all you can do is take the battery out to restart your phone! This doesn't happen on a daily basis but it's still very frustrating. When you push the buttons, there is delayed response time compared to the other phones I've owned. I'm definitely replacing this phone as soon as I can. Less

Freezes, Re-starts, Poor sound quality

This phone is acceptable if one doesn't intend to text or send other messages. The sound quality isn't all that great, but you can still make out what people are saying. This phone freezes when I'm sending texts, on about 1/3 of my texts. When it freezes it takes 2-3 minutes to restart itself, or you can take the battery out and restart it that way. Sending picture or audio messages takes about a full minute per message, which is rather slow. The camera is good and has a nice zoom, but the lens is in a terrible place- you'll always initially cover it with your fingers. The battery life is good, and I like the size and weight. The front has a nice large screen, but gets dirty/smudged very easily. I've only had this phone for about 2 weeks, and it's had all these problems from day one. I met someone on campus the other day with the same phone, and they claimed it had the same problems- especially with freezing. Overall I'd recommend not buying this phone, but continuing your search. Less
