The "1-Minute" Review

Verdict

For only a small price difference, the G30 offers so much more. As such, reviewers had a hard time recommending the Motorola Moto G10.

What's good

  • Decent design
  • Up-to-date software
  • MicroSD card support

What's bad

  • Weak performance
  • Bad camera

The Moto G10 is the baseline model in Motorola’s 2021 collection. Motorola is noted for putting budget phones on the market that can keep up with more expensive smartphones. So how does the G10 stack up?

Unfortunately, the Motorola Moto G10 doesn’t stand out from the crowd, especially if you compare it with the Moto G30. Reviewers said they were unclear about why the G10 even exists because the only difference was a worse chipset -- and the G30’s power was already just enough to get by.

Tech Radar says, “The Moto G10 is the phone to get if you want to spend as little money as possible – it's decent enough value for the price. If you want anything else, like impressive camera shots and speedy performance, you're better off spending a bit more on your next upgrade.”

What the Critics Are Saying...

If you're on a tight budget, the Motorola Moto G10 is very cheap. It's a basic option but considering just how inexpensive it is, you wouldn't expect it to be a super sophisticated phone. Despite being clunky and a bit slow, it has a big screen, a long-lasting battery and a capable camera.

The Motorola Moto G10 does indeed do enough and justify itself enough relative to the cheaper Motorola E series phones you can buy right now if you're a brand fan. If you're not, there's a very wide array of phones at this kind of price point, and it's well worth considering your core phone needs, b...

The Moto G10 would be a reasonable device if Motorola had launched it as part of the Moto E line. Furthermore, it is not logical to invest 150 euros in this device when a cell phone with superior features in the same series costs just 40 euros more. As I said at the beginning of this Moto G10 review...

The Moto G10 is attractive, well built, and inexpensive, but it's not the fastest smartphone in its price range. Motorola probably wanted to differentiate the Moto G10 more clearly from the new alternatives, such as the Moto G30, and made it a bit cheaper and weaker as a result. At the same time, yo...

You'll struggle to find a more competent phone than the Moto g10 at this price. However, as user-friendly and refined as the design is, it's hard to ignore the low-powered components when you know there are far better options out there if you’re able to spend a little more.
