I've had this phone for about a year and a half and I CANNOT wait until my contract is up. I originally got this phone because I was going to Italy and needed a phone that worked overseas. This phone is extrememly heavy and large as far as cell phones go and I am very disappointed with the options. You can't even change the volume of the alarm that goes off and it's unnecessarily loud. The battery life of this phone is the worst of any phone I've ever had. I have to charge it up at least once a day whereas with other phones, I could go three days without charging them. This phone is overpriced and nowhere near worth the money it costs. I would NOT recommend it to anyone. Less

Battery: Lithium Ion rechargeable. Battery is user replaceable. 880 mAh. 165 minutes claimed talk time and 95 hours standby. Performance: 200 MHz Texas Instruments OMAP 730 processor. 64 MB flash ROM, 64 megs RAM. Size: Size - 3.5" (L) x 1.9" (W) x 1.2" (D). Weight: 5.9 ounces. Audio: Built in speaker, mic and 2.5mm standard stereo headphone jack. Voice Recorder and Windows Media Player 10 included for your MP3 pleasure. Phone: Nextel iDEN network. 900/1800-MHz GSM bands (for use in Europe, Asia, Middle East but not US). Camera: VGA CMOS camera with 4 quality options and 4 resolution settings. Camcorder can shoot videos up to 10 seconds in length. Software: Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Smartphone operating system. Microsoft Mobile Office suite including Mobile versions of Word, Excel and Outlook (email, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks but not Notes). Also Windows Media Player 10 and camera application. ActiveSync 3.8 and Outlook 2002 for PCs included. Expansion: 1 SD (Secure Digital) slot. The i930 has a solid, sturdy feeling in hand and has some serious weight. It's thicker than the Sprint PPC-6700. The Smartphone has a slight wobble on the flip, because I can move the top of the flip slightly to the left and right. The outer screen is a simple color, multi-line display and it's pleasingly bright with good contrast. The IR port is on the right side of the phone, as is the mini-SD slot. The slot has a dust cover, which is a must on a rugged phone. The heft and look of the phone make you think it's made of metal, but its actually shiny black and silver plastic. The status light is on the right and it blinks green while it is connected to Nextel's iDEN network. At the bottom is the ubiquitous Motorola connector. This also... Less

I'll get right to it... The good stuff: * Internet * video * global roaming * camera * stores any possible information under contacts down to childrens names, birthdays, assistants name and contact info, etc. * send and receive emails * can connect to your pc Not so good parts of the phone: * The camera and video has poor resolution (even at its best) * The phone is not easy to navigate (to many menus- and I'm an IT student 1 class away from my associates degree) * The battery dies quickly (got a different one just to make sure the battery wasn't faulty) There are some pretty serious cons but overall I wouldn't rule the phone out as an update from an older phone, but definately do some more homework on it before buying it. (In other words don't take my word for it, read some other reviews and find other users who actually own the phone and aren't just repeating the information that the sales person can tell you.) If this is helpful, let me know :) If not, lol, let me know ;) Less

Using experience: 2 years This is by far Nextel's best and most complete phone. However i should note that it would take someone needing their Corperate e-mail and Smartphone applications at their fingertips,to really appreciate the i930.My co-workers always brag on their Treo or Crackberry.Everything that they can do ,I can do with my i930.I have a 2 GB SD card in mine...including about 1 GB of music played through my media player...over 200 pictures, and 30 to 40 videos. It does it all. Finally a very underated phone on the market. :-) Less

Phone definately is worth the price. It has the best fully functional Interent explorer you can find, besides the blackberry. Some of the functions are hard to learn. But once you learn how to use this phone you will fall in love. Prices range here on ebay however $350 is right around where you want to pay for this type of phone. I would also highly recommend getting a car charger for this phone due to the high drain of the color screen. However, if you are on it less than a hour a day, you should be fine with charging it at night. Less
