GREAT little phone!

This phone fits my ear perfectly, and it's never awkward to hold. Also, there's nothing you can do to this phone that will destroy it. This phone fits my ear perfectly, and it's never awkward to hold. Also, there's nothing you can do to this phone that will destroy it. It's been in a parking lot overnight in a rainstorm, dropped in a river, been trampled by a toddler's wagon, attacked by a cat, fallen down a riverbank.... Yep, still here! I never have any problems with it, and the text prediction is VERY fast. The text messages are never interrupted. If a message comes in, the phone politely lets you know after you finish the message. When a call comes in, the message is copied into a folder so you can finish it later. The only time I ever drop calls on it is when I go into an area with absolutely no reception, which is usually only caused by going underground. The camera's quality is outstanding, and even with scratches on the lens, it outperforms newer, more expensive cameras. The only downside is that the faceplate is almost impossible to get off if you're not someone with a doctorate in cell phone face plates from MIT. Fortunately, there are people that work with cell phones for a living that can help you with that. I'll probably stick with this phone until it crumbles to dust. I love it! Less

A very reliable phone, but the frills are not great.

Overall, the Motorola C650 is a very practical phone that does its phone-call-making job well 99% of the time. Overall, the Motorola C650 is a very practical phone that does its phone-call-making job well 99% of the time. It's not a good camera or web browser at all, but then, I doubt any phones have yet reached that level. Pro: 1. I only lost about three calls in a year. 2. It's small and cute. 3. Fun ring tones. 4. Absolutely enough value for the money. Con: 1. Surprisingly for such a small phone, it didn't feel right in my hands. The phone felt always on the verge of popping out and and smashing in a million pieces on the sidewalk. 2. The keypad is tiny, and it's easy to fat-finger the numbers. This was especially annoying during text messaging. 3. The phone seems unnecessarily hard to navigate -- not intuitive at all. This was demonstrated most horribly about a month after I got the thing, when I assumed "Silent" meant my phone wouldn't ring in the middle of a tense horror movie. WRONG! The call didn't ring, but the voice mail message rang loud and clear. Twice. Absolutely mortified and unable to find an option to silence the thing completely, I decided to turn the phone all the way off in such situations thenceforth. 4. The pictures taken by the camera are too grainy to ever show anyone. Until I lost it, I did like this phone, but unless they're paying you to take it, I'm sure you can get something better these days. Less

I love this phone. It's small, loud, (very cute) near indestructible, and i've had it almost a year I think. It fits easily in the pocket, it's easy to use, and the reception is pretty good. Other then that, I had a chance to get the RAZR and passed, I'm perfectly happy with this little entry-level phone! Less

The User Interface of this phone is irritating.

They definitely did not do a pre-test deployment of this phone. The joystick will think you selected a right/left when you pressed straight down more often than not. How much can you tolerate that? They definitely did not do a pre-test deployment of this phone. The joystick will think you selected a right/left when you pressed straight down more often than not. How much can you tolerate that? The soft keys located along the joystick are so skinny and streamlined, you need to really look at the phone to use them or you will not hit them -- so I guess dont use this phone in the car. At only 1/3 of a megapixel, you are not getting a real camera. The camera is more of a toy. The thing cant give you a decent picture resolution or good lighting. I went in to the T-Mobile store to complain about this phone today. Turns out my previous phone was still on the display for sale, but my C650 was not around. The rep said the C-650 got discontinued. No suprise. Tomorrow I am going to ask for some credit for my next phone cause I cant live with this thing. Less

buy it if you don''t have much money

this is a very good balanced quality/price rapport: a cheap phone, good features (the camera is very good comparing to other vga cameras) but it has obvious flaws: you can injure your finger in the phone''s carcass (I DID!!) because it''s impossible to open, short memory for pictures and multimedia and not a very good image for the videos.

I bought this phone a weeks ago, and it work's perfectly for me. It's on good proce asuming that you re getting a digital camera, mp3 playback, video playback, and more!. It works perfectly with the computer, I take pictures all the time, and download the to my computer. Has a Speaker mode, but if you are going to play music on it, it wont sound to great, I recomend to use the hands-free for this. Nice desing, light weight, good screen resolution, easy navigation.Something bad is that in the Phonebook, you cant store more than one number under a especific name, for example, if you have Lauras home phone, and cell phone, you have to store them separatly. The back side of the phone trends to scratch. Not too much phone memory, and you delete the Ringtones or Pictures that come with the Phone, the are all locked(This is posible with a special PC Driver). Miserable Phone

This phone is a disaster - impossible menu to navigate (unintuitive), very poor reception, voice quality complaints from everyone, and the back is near impossible to remove to boot!

I used to sit in one place, not moving in my apartment in downtown Boston and it would STILL drop calls!!! I hate its unreliability, it's the most frustrating phone ever and when you rely on your cell phone as your only phone, it really sucks when it doesn't work. Don't buy this phone, you can do better- i promise!! just do your homework... Less
