This phone is a piece of crap, not only doesn't it have the clock shown on the box, the sim card once placed in the phone deletes all the numbers on the sim card then deletes all the numbers out of the phone. The clock resets itself whenever it wants to and the alarm feature is also reset to random times. You can't set the correct time since the phone chooses the time zones for you. If you rcharge the phone it resets itself back to factory settings. If you personalize it placing everything where you want it the phone only resets all this at random times to what it wants them to be. Now normally I wouldn't give such a bad review on a phone knowing bad ones get through even the best QC people however my cell company has replaced this phone 3 times! and each one has done the exact same things. Ifinally got the cell company to admit to me these were released with "software" issues, the main being the phone deletes saved sim card numbers, the cell company has since discounted selling or promoting these pieces of crap. Motorola wonders why it's lagging behind other companies, with products like this and the other junk they are releasing it's a wonder they are still in business, I will NEVER buy a motorola phone again after having been issued a previous model at work that didn't perform well at all, combined with this newest piece of junk they are trying to pawn off on the pubic for $159-$259 (best buy mobile $259) I can't wait till they go out of business. This doesn't even get into all the issues you'll have with ringtones using your mp3's (the phone resets these too). This truly is a nightmare phone perfect to scare anyone this Halloween. PS how come there isn't a finger when ratng this phone? Less

Pro: Inexpensive Con: Poor Quality Using experience: 4 months This phone is the worst phone i have ever had. They really should discontinue it. I have had this phone replaced 3 times!!! I would download a ringer to the phone and it would be on there for a few days and then it would just disappear, and go back to that stupid T mobile Jingle. And get this has anyone ever heard of a phone that would work with out the battery? I plugged the phone in to the charger with out the battery and it worked. When this finally happened i called t mobile and they are going to send me a completely different phone. All i have to say is you get what you pay for!!! Less

I am glad to see i am not alone in this problem! I 1st got this phone back in December and immediatly had problems. At 1st i thought it was me. The phone would shut off after being charged for hours, the battery would only last half a day, couldn't make outgoing calls (isn't that the purpose of a phone?) etc. After calling T-Mobile, they sent me a new actv w450. The problems got worse! "try later" when trying to access my phone book, "searching" in the upper left corner for hours, not being able to use my phone for days. I again called T-Mobile. The people were polite & helpful, but also said "we don't have any reported problems with this phone!!!" Was i the only fool in the world to get 3 broken phones in a row. AVOID THIS PHONE!!! Trust me. get a 1997 star-tac instead you will be happier. Less

I went through 3 phones and hours of customer service calls getting replacements for my W450. 3 phones in a row?! What is wrong with Motorola's quality testing program. The customer service people at T-mobile were mostly professional but stupid policy prevented them from doing anything to remedy the issues until after I had problems with the 3rd phone and I spent 3 hours on one call trying to get to someone who could grant me a different phone altogether. This phone had so many differnt issues from deleting all my contacts twice after I spent time organizing them to having sheduled alarms go off at weird times or not at all. It woke my whole family up at 3:00 am with the alarm that was set for 10:00 am. Also, I would turn it off at night to conserve battery, but it would turn itself on and then start beeping the low battery warning in the middle of the night. The battery wouldn't last more than 1.5 days on standby either. Thanks Motorola for putting such a piece of crap on the market. Less

Pro: Cool handy dandy belt clip, grippy surface, textured key pad, durable, pretty good reception. Con: Camera is kinda weak, instant messenger signs off after only being on for a few minutes Using experience: 2 months I like this little phone. Alot better then the free samsung from t-mobile that I had for a few months. The salesman who sold me this phone told me he threw it across a mall corridor to prove to a customer how durable it was. That sold me on the phone. Being a person who beats on phones and drops them constantly this was the right phone for me. The camera is a little weak. Not that great of quality considering the maker of the phone. The razr I had broken after 2 years of abuse had a much better camera. Overall a pretty good little phone if you're not looking for fancy little doodads and such. Less

After having the phone for about 10 days I was fed up with it freezing up and the battery going dead after about 20 min use of mp3 player so I called and they sent me a new battery. I received the new battery in a couple of days. The same problems persisted after the install of the new battery. They sent me a second phone, although different freezing problems and the mp3 player lasting about 1 hour of play time before the battery dying i was still not satisfied. They are now sending me a third phone. Hopefully third time a charm Less

Pro: Sturdy Con: Phone contacts delete if copied from SIM card, Arrow Buttons too close together, Not at all intuitive! Using experience: 45 days My phone contacts keep deleting when the phone is turned off. I have had the phone 6 weeks and the first time it shut down when it restarted I lost ALL of my contacts stored in the phone. I had transferred the contacts from a Samsung phone. A few were on the SIM card so I then recreated as many as I could and saved from the SIM card to the phone. Guess what yesterday my phone turned off again and when I went back in again POOF my phone contacts had disappeared. Awful phone, no one could provide a what to do. The arrow buttons are too small, the set up is not as outlined in the manual the clock will not change to analog. I hate it but it's mine now! Less
