I bought this phone I want to say about 2 yrs ago and I still haven't got sick of it. I have a short attention span & always want something new but I still love this phone. The option to flip open makes texting extremely easy & quick. There are plenty of options as far as Ringtones offered thru Verizon. Now the phone's plans are not the best around I'm sure you can find a cheaper plan elsewhere. To be perfectly honest that's one thing that makes me want to leave Verizon if it wasn't for my phone I would. Other than that its a great buy! Less

Pro: Flip key board, some internet access, instant messaging, battery life Con: things start to crash on this phone I have had this phone for about a year. I loved it at first. The keyboard was great and everything. Then things started to go on me. My front key pad doesnt work, my battery no longer holds a charge for that long, and the charger no longer works. This phone has become a nightmare. Although I must say Verizon has done their best to fix the problems. Less

LG VX9800 A Big Disappointment

Pro: Camera works well Con: Keyboard menu keys to small for easy use. Quality issues 53 weeks ago I purchased (2) LG VX 9800 phones and activated service with Verizon. Within one week of the end of the warranty one phone developed a blank screen and was not usable for everyday communications without the use of the bluetooth. I submitted this phone to Verizon Service Center in Waldorf, MD. After troubleshooting the phone it was determined that the phone could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. To my regret, since the phone is a scant 5 days out of warranty, I found, that Verizon, would not provide any consideration for the lack of quality and the fact that the phone was recently out of warranty. Verizon Tech Support advised that they would not replace it without a $50.00 replacement fee. After agreeing to pay this charge, I then find, that Verizon Service Center does not even stock this phone and would have to order it. Once again, I find it extremely disappointing, that as the consumer, I must accept the poor phone quality and lack of quick response service due to Verizon not stocking this particular one year old phone to resolve the problem to our mutual satisfaction. In summary, this is not a Verizon problem, as they sell and activate services to LG phones as one of their suppliers. In the future, as my Verizon contract ends, I can assure you that I will not look positively toward any LG product in the future. Less

The best phone!

from Yahoo
Pro: Text messaging is a breeze Con: Short Battery Life. I love my phone and it really is great for me and texting. The only thing that I have found that I do not like is the battery life is short. If I send text messages a couple times a day and get a couple as well it kills my battery. Love it anyways!!

Features I liked: -QWERTY keyboard -LOUD speakerphone (can go from speakerphone with the phone opened straight to closed up to the ear, which is great when you're on hold!) Problems: -battery was okay at the beginning but once you have it a couple months, the battery life gets shorter than a day. -it's fatter (about 2x) and longer than most other phones, so if you put your phone in your pocket or a purse, expect for it to take up extra room -camera is real bad on the phone, don't know about when downloaded. it doesn't have a cover to the lens, and its right where you natrally hold the back of the phone -the external memory is a mini, NOT MACRO, which most newer phones use. and it only fits certain brands, and it only holds 512MB!!!!! Which if you want to use it for a camera and a music player isn't much. -ear piece is small, the phone must be in the exact right place to hear ANYTHING. Less
