Informr score
The LG Optimus LTE currently has an Informr score of 6.5 out of 10. This score is based on our evaluation of 19 sources including reviews from users and the web's most trusted critics.

The LG Optimus LTE is an entry-level Android smartphone which goes for affordability rather than cutting edge features. It looks like many other low-cost phones, is constructed of plastic and has a cheap look and feel. The 3.2 inch screen is bright but small, and it can be hard to read text if you do not have excellent eyesight. It also has a rather low 320x240 resolution, making everything look a bit grainy.

An 800MHz processor and 512MB of RAM do the computing, which is enough for a good user experience on Android Gingerbread. It does not compare to faster, more expensive phones though these lower end specs do help the battery life. The Optiums LTE can easily go a full day without needing a charge.

The Android operating system has been overlayed with Optimus UI, which is very basic but easy to use. The on-screen keyboard is OK to use in landscape mode, but the small screen size makes portrait mode a real challenge, even for people with smaller hands. The LTE version comes complete with 4G, making internet browsing much smoother. However, the CPU does not support Flash, which can be a problem if you view webpages that use it.

The camera is one of the weakest points of the phone. Photos the three megapixel camera generates are of very poor quality. Focus is usually off and exposure is inaccurate, usually leading to a blurry and dark photo. Video is no better. The Optimus LTE cannot shoot HD video and its footage appears choppy, blurry, and lacks detail overall. If you want to share a lot of photos on Facebook, you probably should look for a phone which offers a better camera.

Need to Know: LG Optimus LTE

1. 4G LTE makes internet browsing and downloading very fast. (The Good)

2. User interface is easy to use. (The Good)

3. Lacks Flash support. (The Bad)

4. Camera is very low quality. (The Bad)

It’s been a good while since we last saw a flagship from LG. The Korean giant took its sweet time with the Nitro HD to make sure it got everything right. And on most accounts, this is the very case. The screen of the device is marvelous, the spec sheet impressive, and the OS up to date. I...

The Nitro HD is a big and solid-feeling phone, with a plastic textured back that comes off for access to the battery, SIM card, and microSD slot. The rounded edges and smooth bezel make it a little slippery to hold. Has a 4.5-inch 720x1280 screen that doesn't use PenTile technology, and as a result...

The LG Nitro HD comes very close to earning a "very good" rating from me, but will have to settle for "good." The reason is mostly due to the exceedingly poor voice performance. Even though we use our smartphones more for data-centric tasks, the phone has to be at least serviceable as a telephone. T...

Every review I write elicits the same feeling: this is such an exciting time for Android. Devices are evolving at the speed of light and as soon as you feel like you've got the best of the best, there's something better lurking around the corner. As is the case with the Nitro HD, which currently sit...

The LG Nitro HD literally outshines the Android competition on AT&T with a brighter and sharper screen than any other handset, and it offers fantastic data speeds (when you're in an area with 4G LTE coverage). However, even at a discounted $149, this smartphone is a tough sell because of its sho...

Couldn't agree more with battery life comment. I use my phone for calls and text only less than 1 hour per day and the battery is daed within 24 hours. So many complaints online about the battery life, I shocked LG hasn't done anything about it! I hope I am never stranded anywhere with this phone.
