The LG Select is a good basic flip phone for savvy shoppers

A great phone if you don't need to send or recieve calls....
I'm not sure if it's the provider (Metro PCS) or the manufacturer. But, this phone is horrible. I am unable to send or receive calls. Frequent disconnects, frequently isn't able to send calls, frequent missed calls (right to voice-mail), very poor reception on the occasion that the phone works.. I just paid my monthly bill and plan on demanding a refund from both the service provider and the manufacturer. Metro PCS/ LG may provide a low cost alternative to other phones and services but they are unable to provide me with the very basics of service. I don't think that expecting a phone to send and receive calls is asking to much of service providers and manufacturers. Bottom line based on my experience. DON'T BUY THIS PHONE OR USE METRO PCS.Less
Having the LG Select
Pro: Battery life is great (up to 6 hours or more) lightweight, choice of fonts Con: No memory card slot, 1.3 megapixel camera, small in size, ringer volume not that good, manual is not helpful AT ALL! setting up email can be a real problem, having to go to menu to delete all functions, menus are overdone with options or they are in a bad order Using experience: 10 days This phone is really for someone who isn't into features and technology. It's really for a fist time buyer who just needs a phone. on a scale from 1-10 I would give it a 3 because this is not one of LG's best phones not even close.Less
