The LG K8 is a solid all-round affordable mobile that gives the excellent Vodafone Smart Prime 7 a run for its money. If you're after a no-frills everyday handset or a dependable second mobile for taking to festivals and the rest, we'd happily recommend it.

PC Magazine

The LG Phoenix 2 offers reasonable performance, a 720p display, the latest software, and a decent camera for just $100. It isn't as powerful as the equally affordable Zmax 2, but it has a better camera.

Expert Reviews

The LG K8 does a pretty decent job of matching the 3rd Gen Moto G's speed, but when both phones are now exactly the same price, the Moto G leaps ahead with its superior display and camera and longer-lasting battery.

I love the way the LG K8 looks. I think it is one of the best looking budget Android phones on the market right now. The camera is decent and performance, providing you’re not expecting Galaxy S7-levels of grunt, is more than adequate for normal usage. The software is useful, well executed and adds in lots of utility. If you’re in the market for a very cheap and very capable Android phone that also looks rather snazzy the LG K8 should high on your watch list.

Inexpensive, latest Android software, decent camera

from PC Magazine

The LG Phoenix 2 offers reasonable performance, a 720p display, the latest software, and a decent camera for just $100. It isn't as powerful as the equally affordable Zmax 2, but it has a better camera.

Hate It

Data Hog. Storage is eaten up by unremovable bloat ware. Sound quality on calls is awful. Connectivity, awful unless connected to wifi-So that defeats purpose of cell phone. It looks good on the outside, but inside is useless as far as functionality. Camera selfies gesture does not work. Cannot see screen outdoors. Expensive paperweight.
