I never had to worry about charging it constantly and it has a built in speaker which has been useful if I'm on the road. This phone in combination with Telus has worked great for me. It didn't cost hardly anything when it was a new phone. If you're looking for a flip phone that is extremely basic and you have the chance to get one of these used or what not then I highly recommend it. I own it in a lime green colour. Girly but not too girly like the pink phones. Less

This cell phone is just great!

The quality of the sound is adjustable and I just love the speaker phone; it allows more than one person to speak on the cell end of the conversation. I couldn't be happier with it. Go find a second hand one; you can probably get it for under $40 as people are always upgrading to the newest and sexiest. Less

JUNK!

The problem I have had with the phone is it keeps shutting off. Eventually it won't turn on any more. I sent it away for repair and it was sent back without being fixed. The only this worse than the phone is having to deal with LG Electronics. It is the worse customer service I have ever received. I will never buy another LG product.

Great phone if you want a cell phone and nothing else.

This phone has been working fine for me. It has your basic features--alarm clock, calendar, calculator, colour screen. It's exactly what it is, a cell phone. No problems for me. Small and convenient.

Great if your looking for a pocket watch

This phone was purchased as a simple first mobile purchase. I didnt need gadgets- just the ability to call and recieve. It worked well for the first year and then began to deteriorate quickly. It no longer worked in areas that I never had problems. I would have full bars for reception yet it wouldnt connect calls. Texts went unsent due to error. It got to the point where the only place I got reception was at home when I didn't need the effing thing. And even then half the calls went straight to voicemail (which I couldnt check because the phone wouldnt allow me to call out). Error codes became common. But the error code is not explained in the manual or anywhere on the websites. Text messages had to be saved in the outbox as drafts so I could resend it over and over until it would finally go through. A friend standing 5ft away sent a text to my LG 125 and to another mobile that was beside me. The message appeared three days later on my phone yet the other mobile displayed it in seconds. Most of the time I don't get the texts at all. Tried the same thing with a call and it went straight to voicemail even though it was fully charged and all reception bars were displayed. I know this is a bottom of the line phone, but considering it really has no extra functions other than calls and texts it would be nice if they worked. I have one year remaining on this thing. Its basically only good for telling time. Its great for that. Maybe that is its true function and I should be happy. Less

terrible phone.

I have had this phone for just under a year and I have just sent it away for the 6th time the other day. Problems I have had are that the phone woudl repeatedly ask me if I want to save contacts whom are already in my phone book. People will call me who are in my phone book and it will show up their number but with the wrong name. My phone would not work while in Roaming. For those three problems I send it away 4 times. the 5th time was because telus screwed up (typical) and didnt program is right so had to send away again. Since I had send it away so many time they decided to send me a brand new LG 125 instead of fixing my old one. I had hoped this woudl fix all of my problems. I was wrong. I didn't have that new phone for even a month before one night my batterie died and when i went to charge it and turn it on it said, no service, service required. It stayed like that for about 3 days before I brought it in to telus. I was so angry I called the LG maufacturer. They said they would give me a different LG upgraded phone to finish up my contract but the phone needs to break 2 more times. Ridiculous. Haven't I been through enough? Less

Worst phone I've owned

I bought this because I only need a phone to be a phone. I don't need to download fancy ringtones, I don't need to take crappy photos, I don't need to listen to music, I don't need a PDA, I don't need to impress anyone with my cool phone. After a few months of working alright, the phone is now glitch...More
I bought this because I only need a phone to be a phone. I don't need to download fancy ringtones, I don't need to take crappy photos, I don't need to listen to music, I don't need a PDA, I don't need to impress anyone with my cool phone. After a few months of working alright, the phone is now glitchy and temperamental and unpredictable. Phone entries after M have been dropping off anytime I try to add a new number -- and there are only about 30 entries so far (out of a possible 200). When I try to add a new entry, it appears at the top of the list instead of being sorted alphabetically as it used to. And when I try to add an incoming phone number to the address book, when I save it and look at the entry IT'S SAVED A DIFFERENT RANDOM NUMBER. Also, as others have noted, the backlight mysteriously goes on for no good reason. Wonky doesn't begin to describe what's going on with the phone. Naturally, LG's website offers no help, no FAQs, no software upgrades, etc. I'll never buy/get/take another LG phone again. Less

funny thing, well not actually funny

my telus phone died on me too, well there is no sounds, no ringtones, or dial tone and the volume is put on high! i have three months left on my plan. it's kinda ridiculous.

forgot to mention

also forgot to mention that after 14 months the phone dies and i'm in the middle of a 3 year contract with no phone and telus wasn't going to help me out barely managed to get customer service to give me a slight deal on a phone.
