I bought this phone for my daughter as a Christmas present. Not even three months later the phone would not power on despite being on the charger for hours. Cricket said I could pay $10 for a "refurbished" phone but I wanted a new phone. I went back to the store and bought the same make and model. GUESS WHAT?? Not even ONE MONTH later the phone is completely DEAD AGAIN. I will NEVER buy this POS phone ever again. I am getting my money back and if you have one of these phones then GOD HELP YOU!!!! Less

Where is the manual?

This might be a great cell phone, but what good is it without any kind of user manual. Companies today have become far too lazy if they cannot even produce a decent manual.

Hey there, we got you covered! You can download a copy of its manual here in Cell Phones etc. Just click Huawei Pillar Manual found on the right hand side of this page. Hope it helps! :)

Good Basic Communication Device/Plan

Looking for something inexpensive for a child who mostly texts? This phone and Cricket plan solved our problem perfectly. Make sure you check the coverage map to make sure it is right for you.

A word to the beginning cellphone user -

If you are already VERY familiar with cellphones and how to operate them, then this is a well-priced basic device for you. This is definitely not a cellphone for beginners. There are no instructions for basics such as creating a phone book or even adding to an existing one. Initiating, opening, or replying to text messages is not covered. Ditto for practically every other feature on the device. Device does not have any place to attach a carrying/suspending strap. Good luck to any cellphone tyro purchasing this device. Less

The reason it does not come with a manual is because it is so easy to use that it doesn't need one. It's not that hard to figure this phone out.

Don't buy this phone, it sucks in a big way!

The owner's manual tells you how to install the battery. That's it. It doesn't show you how to work the menu, screens, settings, nothing. I tried to search for a user manual online and it always takes me back to Cricket. No Camcorder just still shots with the camera. Try sending email and you have to go to IE to accept the cookies but no manual no instructions on how to do that either. The print is so small I have to carry glasses to read what is on the screen. Oh yeah and the camera alone won't allow you to upload pics on to your computer without buying a micro card. That's tight, no micro card included. Is it possible to give negative stars because this phone would totally qualify. Less

Lots of features but difficult at best

No user manual available anywhere. It is now half price and I bought it 2 weeks ago. As per the salesman who sold it to me, I have had to 'hard start' it more than once due to the volume button not working - very frustrating. For the money I spent, I could have got a smart phone and been much happier.

can i download a facebook app

Limited....

Limited, at best, due to the lack of downloadable apps and games. Browser response is slow (due to memory limitations?). Function key is too close to "7/Z" and "*/A" keys, making it awkward to hit those buttons. Will be replacing this phone with one better suited to gaming and video. It's only saving grace is its light weight.

Need a hands-on manual asap. How do I retrieve or open an attachment. If somebody knows, please answer. Thanks.
